I realize there is a lot of nonsense out there. I don't expect to "earn $5K a week from home!!!" or anything like that. But I have heard that there are actually legitimate ways to earn a little extra money from doing stuff on your computer. I was just wondering if any CAGs had suggestions.

No wonder you keep coming out of retirement. Can't you just pick up some endorsements?

One thing I use is swagbucks. You do a search or two in the morning and get some swag bucks to use at their store. Repeat that in the evening. It doesn't take too long for it to build up. I go for the $5 amazon gift cards since they're only 45 swagbucks. Most of the other stuff is priced quite high. It's not a lot, but getting $5 off a game or something is nice. I saved up several GCs I got this way and picked up Crimson Gem Saga for the PSP for $5.

I could use some other ways to make some cash as well. I used Microsoft's Live Search club for a while to get my Xbox 360 and a zune, but I think I'm done with that. I never really had any luck with winzy. I make most of my money by selling stuff on craigslist that I find at garage sales. That's not been going so well lately, since I've been getting a lot of more spam messages than actual offers.

What was the name of that company maybe 10 or 12 years ago or so, where you would download some software that would generate ads while you surfed the web, and they would pay you based on the amount of time you spent on the computer or something? I remember reading people who legitimately made money doing that.

Web design/development/freelancing.

But I'll tell you - working from home is a mixed form of work.

There's no one telling you that you can stop working - so you'll often work 15 hour days. Even if it's in your PJs, that still sucks.

Do a glory hole setup in your place. When someone walks through the front door all they see is a hole for dicks and another hole for moneys. Problem solved....

Playing poker for a living is way more stressful than an actual job. The downswings are killer.

I currently work from home. I only make about 500 a week though. It's better than working in a center though.

I would avoid those online surveys. Gaming Lagoon approved about 1/3 of the offers I did and never gave me enough points to get anything. To top it off, I had to give them my actual phone number to verify the account. Since doing their "harmless" surveys, I've had 3 separate companies try to bill me for fax services and such to my phone bill, using the surveys as their legal claim to do so.

So if you don't mind getting nothing and high phone bill charges, try Gaming Lagoon.
