My friend called in amazon support because it was showing that his delivery date was going to be between nov 20-dec 1st. He did get the free shipping but he argued that since the game came out tomorrow they should be sending out tomorrow and at least getting it within 5-7 business days. He also threw in the fact that if he knew this that he would have gone with walmart and picked it up in the store and gotten the same deal. Lady in support gave him a $5 credit on his account but he said if she could change it to the RDD shipping and she said yeah so he basically got free RDD shipping because it was like $5.98 for RDD shipping. He then noticed within 30 mins that the game was being shipped.

So if anyone wants to bother customer service if their game hasnt shipped tomorrow to get $5 dollars back!

Just now ordered this so that I can use the $20 credit on the 360 Arcade deal. I know I'll want this game, and I don't think it will get cheaper than $40 with free shipping and no tax, so I figured why not. I already have Left4Dead2 ordered from the EA.com gift card deal awhile back, though, so I'm going to have a lot to play for awhile. I really want to grab Dragon Age Origins, Forza 3, Tekken 6, and I'm interested in DJ Hero after playing it at Best Buy, but there's just too many games in October and November. I wouldn't say 99.9999% of the time. It really depends on your area and the driver. If the area seems like a safe place to leave it then they will leave it and vice versa. At my old apartment they never left anything because it would be wide open on a busy street but my new apartment that is on the same street they will leave it because there is a spot to leave stuff and it can't be seen from the road.

Lately the guy has been ringing the door bell and just leaving the package there before I even get a chance to get up. I'm not happy with that.

That totally depends on where you live, it's not 99%. UPS has never left a package on my doorstep. I assume most people that live in a major city are the same way. My neighbors houses, and the street, are 2 steps away.

In my experience, UPS leaves small items like games at the door. My UPS guy has even left a huge HTIB box at my door when I wasn't home. The only thing I've have to get a rescheduled delivery for was my 360 coming back from repair. You should be good.

Yeah you have to be careful with UPS guys. It's definitely YMMV. At one of my residences they always left the sticky note, at another I had a UPS guy leave my $2000 home theater speakers on the doorstep and walk away(3 huge boxes)

Anyone else who ordered multiple copies of COD:MW2 get an email about your game credit that suddenly contains the "Offer valid for one Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox 360 purchase per customer" caveat.

I never saw this restriction when the promotion was first announced or when they sent out notices for the bump to a $15 and then $20 credit. It was because of this deal, in large part, that I opted to purchase this game from Amazon rather than, say, Wal-Mart or Gamestop as gifts for my father and brother.

You're right it depends on what the CS rep feels like giving you. I remember one of my friends got a RDD order a day late, emailed them, and got a $10 refund. You definitely have to email them though; they won't do any of this automatically.

You can't use it on the code itself, but you're able to use the credit towards an actual point card. As long as it isn't a digital download / instant code, you're able to use your credit on it.

My guess is that different SKUs will work. So in your case, you got the PS3 and 360 versions. Or if someone got the normal and the Prestige version, that would probably work. It's just when you buy two of the same version (i.e. two normal versions) that I'm thinking you only get one discount.

I chose the Release-Date-Shipping, which means the game was supposed to come today. Well, it didn't, it says "estimated arrival" is November 11. I was REALLY, really looking forward to playing it all night long after a terrible 2 exam day at college, but came home to realize I wouldn't get the chance to.

Where I live, the UPS just leaves any and all packages by the door. I actually went outside after seeing the truck go leave to find my package opened. Even after calling them, they still don't deliver in person. I suppose they only do when a signature is necessary. But I live in a house so maybe they think no ones going to go up your driveway and look around your door in the middle of the day.

Indeed. My order says it's not going to ship until Nov. 16th. I don't get HOW some people got their FSSS so early when my copy is shipping so late. I guess I wouldn't be nearly as annoyed if it wasn't for all the release day people having issues; then it would at least make sense because they are fulfilling their orders. I would almost be curious as to when people placed their orders. I pulled the trigger on Oct. 20th, so maybe it is because I pre-ordered so late I am so far down on the list.

Mine said the same, but then the rep on the phone actually said they were
on the truck already, dont know how accurate that statement is but
hopefully it shouldnt be much longer.

i got a 360 version and a ps3 version, and got 2 $20 promo codes. I checked my account and they take off $40 off any video game purchases in my cart. I don't know if they will give you 2 $20 promo codes if you were to buy two 360 versions or two ps3 versions though.

I live in Philly, mine shipped from Delaware (like 30 miles away) Monday night. Got to Philly at 3:40 AM, out for delivery (on the truck) at 5:57 AM in Philly! Did the guy just fuckin forget me? It still says its out, when do they update there systems?

I wasted a whole day sitting here because I have to be here when they come, they won't leave it on my door and I really don't want them too either because someone will 100% take it, I live in a pretty big tourist area and theres a lot to do here so people are always walking by.

Ups won't leave packages unless you give them permission to do so. Which means you have to be there one time when they deliver something and then tell them that future packages can be left. Downside is that if your neighbor steals your package, you're screwed as you assume reliablilty for said packages.

Weird, from experience it's the complete opposite for me, in which FedEx refuses to leave packages at my door unless I post a note verifying they can do so, whereas UPS will ALWAYS leave them, no matter whether a signature is required or not.

I agree as I remember UPS even left my 80gb MGS4 PS3($500) outside the door without requiring an signature and I live in an Condo Complex. UPS always leaves the games outside my door and doesn't even knock as my g/f is there during the day.

Yeah, I was planning on writing to them just for the hell of it to see if anything happened. Just got a response for them saying I get a $5 promotion. It's not $10, but I'll take it on top of the $20 I got for the game :).

So anyone out there reading this, def. take kevlars advice and write them if you had RDD and didn't get it then. Even with a free prime trial I got $5.
