Feel free to flame away....I've just done the dumbest thing that I've ever done in my entire life....

So i bought Dark Angel Seasons 1 & 2 (the complete series) from the DeepDiscountDVD super sale thing a while back and....I just decided to start watching the first season a few days ago. It was a little awkward getting into it at first, but after the first few episodes, I got the hang of the show and ended up loving it (and wondering why the hell it got cancelled or canned or whatever). So I finish the first season and go to pop the second season in, but um...yeah...when I go to grab the second season box, to start the first disc, I notice something a little odd....it says The Complete First Season on the box. So yeah, the order of the box sets on my shelf were wrong and I watched the 2nd season first. Now I'm extremely pissed off because I know how it ended and I ruined the first season. I'm not going to bother asking if anyone else has done this before, for the slight chance of someone else having done this, their is a bigger chance that they will stay far away from admitting it. But I will ask, has anyone seen the complete first and second seasons? Did I completely screw up the first season? Either way, I'm going to watch it, I'm just not going to enjoy it nearly as much as I would've, for the simple fact that I'll be mad at myself the entire time.

Holy hell, that's pretty stupid. How the hell could you not notice?

I watched the Star Wars DVD's backward the first time. Does that count?

and I must say that Dark Angel is the only Scifi show I'm glad Fox cancelled.

It's not that big of a deal. I've personally never seen the show, but I'm guessing it won't be too bad to watch the 1st season after already seeing the 2nd one. I'm just wondering how things made sense at all when watching the 2nd season. :?

Never done that, but usually it's because I've either seen the first season ahead of time and know what should be in the first episode, or I've only gotten one group of episodes at a time so that I could watch them and them move on to the nest sequential group of episodes.

on the other hand I HAVE, on occasion, slipped and gone from lets say episode 5 to episode 10, missing 6-9 but shortly after the one episode I'd realize something is missing and catch up before moving on to episode 11.

I think you should just watch the 1st season. Anything you don't understand will most likely be cleared up. It may just be me, but I don't think it was all that stupid on your part.

'cause most of the ppl that ive talked to that have seen the show have said that its sucked horribly, and the other 5% of the ppl that ive talked to loved it....while watching the first episode, i was thinking that maybe it supposeedly sucked because the beginning was too confusing for them to get into it....but i catch on pretty quickly to movies and tvshows, and i know how a lot of shows take an episode or two to get into the show and fully understand whats going on...so i figured thats what was going on...it wasn't incredibly confusing, everything seemed to fit....

Jessica Alba is "a hottie with a naughty body"

Season one is much better, if you ask me. Save the best for last.

Still, how did you not notice that they were talking about major events that you hadn't seen?

yeah, its definitely the next thing on my list to watch....i completely enjoyed the second season....i wish more ppl would've given the show a shot, rather than apparantly write it off after a few scenes from an episode...thats the great thing about tv shows on dvd, it gives tv shows a second chance

i assumed that they were just giving you the backstory....their really wasnt any on-screen indication of their being a previous season....i guess if you're smart enough, you can pick up on a movie/show from the middle on and still understand whats going on....than again, the arguement comes that, "if you're smart enough, you would've been able to read "second season" on the box"....but i didnt look at the box, other than being hypnotized by mrs albas wonderful assets....maybe that was what threw me off...who knows

In a way, I'm thinking the first season could be more enjoyable knowing what happens later on. Who knows.

trakan....in response to your sig, stop playing breakdown right now and please jump to katamari damacy....i promise that you wont be disappointed...i enjoyed breakdown, but i didn't find the story as great as others did....as for katamari damacy, ive beaten every part of the game and i still cant put it down....the three games that i can play continuously without ever getting bored of are: ssx tricky, gitaroo-man, and katamari damacy

Cool, thanks for the suggestion, man. How long is Breakdown? I'm about 4.5 hrs into right now. I am trying to find Gitaroo Man for a decent price. :D

If anything you might like the first season more. that was the only season I watched seriously, I never bothered to catch any of the second seasons episodes because they seemed to just ignore all sense of reality the first season had created.

I ordered it this morning from eb for a little over $30 shipped PO ... it should be worth it.

Of course they're sold out now.

I'm also the high bidder on one listed on eBay, ends in a couple days. I'm hoping I get outbid.

If you shucked out the cash for the box sets it shouldn't matter all that much. Many times the reason to get the DVDs is to catch those early episodes you always manage to miss in syndication. I had that experience with the original Star Trek. I'm old enough to have seen it in original broadcast but it took almost 25 years before I was sure I'd seen all of them because the stations running the repeats seemed to dislike certain episodes. In some cases there were good reasons for that but it was frustrating having someone else decide for me whether something was worthy of being seen.

I can think of many series that didn't really hold my attention until the third or fourth year. When syndication kicked in I was seeing the early episodes for the first time despite having read all the synopses onling for the continuity. If a show is truly any good it's still worth seeing every episode for yourself.

Eventually you'll take the discs out again and watch them in the correct order. You may also realize what an awful actress Jessica is and decide to reserve all future observances of her for places like Maxim. You can then sell those box sets and use the money on something more worthy of repeated viewings.

The quality of season two actually goes up if you turn down the volume and play it at 2x speed.

That sucks. Just wait a year or so until you forget most of season 2 then watch both seasons over again but in the correct order.

Man, I need to get my a 5 disc changer for when I what seasons on dvd. That would've worked good for Smallville, since once I started watching it, I couldn't stop. Now all I need to do is record Season 4, so once season 3 comes out I can watch it then catch up with whats going on on seaosn 4.

I got into Buffy the Vampire Slayer a while back. I started watching it on FX and I think I started watching when it was on season 6. I then bought the dvd's and watched them from the beginning, but it was weird to have seen season 6 and then going to season 1.

this is the worst thing you have done in your life? this is nothing. I have done some dumb things,i once had my shorts on backwards all day, another time, i was at a party and had my fly unzipped all not and didnt realize it. i have paid ten dollars for an imax film and slept through the whole thing.

I have bought discounted bread that was about to expire and ate it and got sick. if the worst you are doing is watching tv episodes out of order, you are not messing up too badly
