I've missed every Orange Box sale so far (didn't have a computer that could run it - or much of anything on Steam - until recently), and didn't bite for TF2 last time it was $10.
Part of me says "BUY NOW YOU IDIOT," but part of me is hoping there's another Orange Box deal around the corner. Either way, the 360 version of TF2 isn't really cutting it. It is only $2.50... :-k

I'm sure I want this, but I'm not sure who I want to give a copy to. If I purchase a copy as a gift, and have it sent to my own email account, can I then give whatever information they email me to someone at a later time and then would they still be able to add it to an existing Steam account?

Even if they had The Orange Box at $10 again in the future, TF2 would still cost $3.33 or so. Plus there's no guarantee it will drop down that low again, especially not in a long time. And I doubt you'd ever see TF2 this low again.
For $2.50, it's a steal. I don't see any reason not to get it now, even if you won't be able to play it for a couple of years, since by then people will still be playing and Valve will probably still continue releasing updates for it.

I did it once before. I bought a gifted a game to a dummy email of mine during a Weekend Deal, then gave it to a friend on his birthday. As long as the game isn't redeemed, you have the option to resend the gift and it allows you to change the email it's sent to.

Damn, thanks OP, bought. I had orange box for the 360 for a while and never really played TF2 much before I decided to sell it, which made me a sad panda. This is awesome for $2.49, now I have TF2 forever!

You can also get the hat by killing anyone who's wearing it, for what it's worth. :)

*Sigh of relief* I was in class when this deal hit, and I don't have a credit/debit card of my own... I texted my dad at work to see if he would buy it for me with thirty minutes left, and I never got a text back... I assumed he never got the text.

Well I imagine you could've gifted extras to another of your own email addresses and give those to other people.
But they would've done that at purchase, of course.
Funny I bought the game at full price a few days ago and then this deal happened.. I lost it. Oh well its well worth the price anyway.

i just wanted to say that this game is the most fun I've ever had playing video games and I'm 27 and have been playing as long as I can remember. I've had it since it came out and I'll go through stretches where i don't play for a while but I always come back to it and find something new. If you don't have it and like shooters you owe it to yourself to at least try it out. Just such a finely crafted game and IMO one of the best cases for the whole "games as art" argument you'll ever find.

I almost feel like I should get this, but...realistically I won't like it. About the most I've ever enjoyed a death match since Super Faceball, but even still...
Now Left 4 Dead I'd try for $2.49. Not sure I'd like it any better, but at least it sounds like it's not just a deathmatch thing, and it's zombies.
EDIT: By the way, I don't mean to slam the game. I know it looks really cool if you're in to this kind of thing, but I just don't care about death matches.
