Yeah, I got 5 avatar awards unlocked, including this awesome Recon Armor you can see in my signature.

flying monster thing....seriously? He was awesome in Halo....His name is Guilty Spark (or so I named him from the first halo lol)

I guess I'll try to grit my teeth and beat ODST this weekend for just the awards.

Sweet! I wonder if the freebies are just for the beta or for all users when it goes live. Either way, I'm signing in as soon as I get home today.

I got all the Avatar Awards in one go. Other than that, this thing is useless and crap. Glad they spend money on this.

Was wondering if anybody can help me getting the vidmaster challenges. I rented thinking oh, this is easy to get....yah I only got one vidmaster challenge so far lol, I really need help with the Endure one cause well.......One player sucks

Its cool the first time you look at it, but after that first time its kinda boring. The avatar awards are cool, but no Master Chief suit is very disappointing.

You open up Halo Waypoint, and there's an option where it searches for all your Halo achievements (Halo 3, ODST, Halo Wars)...based on those achievements, you unlock avatar rewards.

It's part of the preview program. It will be part of the new Fall '09 update.

If your not in the preview program just ignore this thread till the update goes live pretty much. But it goes live soon. Anyways add me on live Linkin. I wanna get some achievements just for the rewards. I could probably do it maybe Sunday or something since baseball is on. Let me know

So yea now that its available to all, I checked it out today and I think its pretty cool. I enjoy anime so I can't wait until Legends hits which they say is this Saturday and I got my first avatar reward for free, can't beat that!

Had a look at it last night, it's ok I guess. I'm not entirely sure what the point of it is, but the Guilty Spark thing for your avatar is ok.

as thrilled as i am to see developers give back to the community, i'm alittle disappointed in the interface/presentation. their games are so slick, this reminds me of a fanfavorite flash movie interface. I hope it gets a bit of a face lift and the animation of the the actual scanning lines move with purpose and not just tweening between point A and point B.

how much halo graphic design can you cram into each border? like chef tom colicchio would say, "keep it simple."

the gamer in me though is happy that I have fun avatar swag that didnt cost me MS points.

You can't wear the Recon helmet with the ODST armor, but there is a seperate ODST helmet when the armor already includes a slightly different colored ODST helmet? D:

Watched the first Legends anime episode titled "The Babysitter" last night and it was great. Looked through the codex and laughed as I watched the Halo in 5 Minutes video. :P I want this with Gears of War and possibly GTA? You can get free avatar rewards for being Gears and GTA fans, that'd be cool. Anime or comic book streaming of Gears and GTA would be sick imo.

I tried to watch "The Babysitter" about an hour or so ago, but it was already gone (or perhaps I just couldn't find it). Shouldn't it be up until at least 3 AM on the east coast?

I'm pretty sure they'll just archive the episodes but I haven't checked, seems odd they'll take it down in one day so look around.

If Bethesda ever did something like this with Fallout, I'd be excited, especially if there was free power armor outfits for achievements.

I have 955 achievement points in halo 3 (and don't own wars or odst) and all I have is the guilty spark.

A lot of the Waypoint unlockables are tied to ODST.
