I am about ready to buy some PS2 games to play on my MGS PS3 and had question. Do the games run ok and is the quality good?

The games I am getting are below

Sly Cooper 1,2,3
Shadow of the Collosus
Kingdom Hearts

I'm going to be honest... Ico is half the game Shadow of the Colossus is.

The games you're getting are solid. I'm assuming you had a PS2? If not, there are a number of great games to get.

Nope, never owned a PS2. I have tried the Ratchet's, a couple are ok but man, those Sly games look really fun and SOC looks really deep. I despise the MG series, not sure why, just hate the feel and the sound effects.

I've been playing some PS2 classics on my MGS PS3 as well. Also never owned a PS2.

Played MGS1-3, Ico, & God of War (have GoW2 on its way).

I'm a huge fan of old school turn-based RPGs and have Final Fantasy X in my backlog because I've heard it is a great turn-based game.

Any suggestions for must play PS2 games or solid turn-based RPGs?

Sorry for the hijack, but I think it follows the spirit of the OP.

Even though many people have polarized views of Ico vs SotC, I would highly recommend playing both. Personally, outside of graphical quality (technically speaking), I liked Ico a lot more than I did SotC. SotC was dull as hell outside of the boss fights... not to mention the predictable story/ending.

If you want turn based RPGs, try the Shadow Hearts series. They're mostly traditional outside of timed button presses during battle which many people didn't like but I really enjoyed all 3 games.

Okami (action/adventure, also available on the Wii but I liked the PS2 version more) and Odin Sphere (2D side scroller/action game) are 2 other great games you should try.

I don't know if I'd say that, but I definitely appreciated Ico more than I enjoyed it. SotC was very enjoyable though.

I played SotC first; this is probably why I feel the way that I do about Ico.

Persona 3 and 4 are my favorite RPGs of all time, and both are turn based.
