one of my friend was selling off his ps3 stuff, and told me he was going to sell his Rockband 1 with his guitar, microphone, and drumset for 38 bucks. He got it as a gift for his brithday, and only played with the guitar, the microphone and the drumset are still in the box.

I dont really play rythmn games that much, wanted to see what you guys thought about it?

If you don't like rhythm games, why are you considering it?

I'd pick it up, then find a copy of RB2 for $19.99 and have a pretty decent set for under $60.

Then again, if you don't like rhythm games...

To be fair, he said he didn't really play them that much, not that he didn't like them. I think it's worth it OP, but I love Rock Band/Guitar Hero. It's definitely great if you're looking for something to play along with your girlfriend. It's pretty much the only game I can get her to play without hesitation (and Halo 3 for some reason).

yeah, thanks man, i just never really played them much... i just wanted to get your guy's impressions about the game

how's the replay value? do you just get bored after playing the songs? can you download more songs? also would this version of RB2 work with the instruments from RB1?

Billy, the replay value is insane. It's still in my rotation over 15 months after purchase, which is rare for me. It makes a good party game too. You can download more songs, etc. Yes, that version would work fine, just make sure you're buying the PS3 one. ;)

It all depends on you. Some people play it every day; I go through phases. I usually like to play the metal songs and their isn't always new DLC with heavy stuff it.

Yes, you can download more songs; I know the total amount of Rock Band songs is over 500 total (probably closer to 750 or something now), and all the RB1 instruments would work with Rock Band 2

Yeah you can use RB2, and GH instruments on RB1.

I just picked up RB1 finally from GS today. $12.99 used. I only have my guitar from GH:WT so far.

I wanna get a drumset, but nobody carries them used and don't really wanna order one from ebay used.

I'll pickup RB2 soon also it's 17.99 used right now at GS.

I think that it is, but you should wait and see if there are any black friday deals that will include this game someway somehow...

38 dollars for the whole set.... oh yeah hell yeah, give the guy 40 and enjoy the game.
