Noises from Drive while loading.. Normal or not?

So, my girlfriend is out of town this weekend, so I decided to stay home tonight and just spend some quality time on the PS3.

I borrowed Resistance 2 and Rockband from my friend

I just noticed that everytime Rockband is saving my file or loading a song...my Drive make a loud Noises/buzzing while reading...? Since it seems like Rockband reads all the songs from the disc rather than saving them to the hard drive... I'm getting parnoid that maybe this is a faulty disc that might mess up my laser? Do your Ps3's make noises when its loading? it doesn't seem as bad with my other games :-k

Nah that sounds right. Unless the noise levels it's making are absurd, I wouldn't worry about it.

ok thanks, i just notice on Rockband, my BR drive is constantly revving around... which is different from my other games, and i'm worried it mihgt mess up the lazer
