Your best bet would be to consult gamerankings.com for a spread of competing reviews on both titles.

I have them both. Kirbys Air Ride is ok, but the controls are so simple that the game just isn't that much fun. Mario golf is the better of the 2 , it has a control scheme that is easy to get into, and is a good multiplayer game.

I hated Mario Golf:TT, since I wanted FFX-2 for my Bday and my parents got me MG:TT, a 6ft. fake X-mas tree, new stero, and M&L:SS.
That X-mas tree is so cool!

I second th epositive reviews for Mario Golf it is the kind of game that you could play an hour a day for a long time and not get overly tired of it.

Mario Golf is awesome. It is the perfect game to play with a couple of friends, have a few beers, and just sit around and talk and casually play. My friends and I (and this is 2 seperate sets of friends, ones from home and ones from school) played this every other day for about 8 months after it came out. Definitely get it.

So even if I don't really like golf I'll like Mario Golf?

Argh... trust me you got the better of the deal. FFX was great, but X-2 was a piss poor marketing scheme by Square. That game was more of a slap in the face of gamers than FF:Mystic Quest. On the other hand, Mario Golf:TT was a great game. My friend and I greatly enjoyed playing that. Of course he actually liked FFX-2 more than FFX... so I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

Mario & Luigi is a great game. Don't hate! ;)

I have both Kirby Air Ride and Mario Golf. I'm not really a fan of golf at all, and I just couldn't get interested in the Mario version either. Maybe I'll give it another crack someday, but if I could trade it in for something good I would. I feel like I should give it more of a chance, but something else in my collection always takes precedence.

Kirby I liked a bit more, but it is indeed hurt by the simplistic controls (steer plus the A button, and that's only for braking). You could literally start the game and set the controller down and Kirby would still finish the race half the time. Nevertheless, some of the course designs are very clever and there is an odd sort of strategy to braking at the right time to get boosts and get around curves. The different vehicles are also quite strange, with some seemingly designed to be virtually unusable...on purpose. There are Smash Bros.-esque things to unlock by achieving random goals. And multiplayer is fun, with a VERY bizarre battle mode. There's also a very cool-looking top-down slot-car type game with some really cool tracks: possibly the best part of the whole title.

All in all I'd say they're both worth $15 but as always, YMMV.

In AC my wife and I named our town Savannah and our island Tybee. Also named our dog Tybee. It was our first trip together. Actually like some of the other islands more, but no one wants a dog named St. Simon. :D

Yes by making one of the best FF games ever, Square-Enix has single-handily spit into the collective faces of fans

FF X-2 was superb, regardless what you so-called "die-hards" (LOL) say.

Heh. Yeah, some other beaches along the coast and barrier islands are better than Tybee (like Jekyll, St. Simon, and other private islands like Ossabaw that's not road-accessible), but Tybee is only 10 minutes from Savannah and still a nice beach.
