Overall it seems like they are trying to make the game less realistic. Hopefully it doesn't stray too far away from CoD4-6.

Black Ops looks nice but it isn't as gritty for some reason. MW2 is downright grittier someway, somehow. Maybe it's the resolution but I like the realism in MW2 a whole lot. It's going to be hard to pull me away to a game that removes or cleans up that quality.

Then again, after I hit 10th, do all the challenges and so on, I don't really have much more reason to play MW2, so that makes me kinda sad face.

You hear game and chat the plug into usb so power that way. And no sound comes out of tv. I think atleast.

Take optical audio out to the headset. Of course you have to change your sound settings and make sure to pick only the 5.1 setting and leave the default analog ones alone.

I do get in a bit of trouble playing upstairs....Mad, or anyone else, can attest to some occasional adult language when I get knifed from a mile away, but wifey says it sounds like I am yelling....obviously not, it is just that there is no "noise" to filter the chat talk any more....unlike with the BT headset.

I won't be on tonight. Got a wedding, at a bar, at 8pm, that I am in and I get free drinks all night.....not sure how we are getting home yet....but whenever I do I will not be in any condition to play. I have, of course, threatened to bring the slim along and make them do "Don't go breaking my heart" on Singstar.

Yeah the headset is great, but man o man is there alot of cables running around. Also the only problem i find with the headset is the controls for the volume and mic are way to close to the headset and makes it awkward trying to wear them. I hate how they kinda weigh them down because its just floating in space. Wish it was a tad bit longer so i can put it on a table or in my pocket.

I'm now blaming Mad, Snake, and NK4Y for taking all my kills after last night - though that doesn't explain my many deaths. :D Seriously though, being host helps...I don't care what Mad says - but I'm still confused on how the guy beat me to the knife.

Think we lost 1 Demo match last night - and that was the one with all those 10th prestige guy. We even won one on Waste(d)land. Good that they had 3 quick scoping guys out there who didn't care about objectives.

I did get to have fun on my warm up match. Free for all in Crash...not a favorite of mine...2 guys trying to boost, the rest trying to kill them. So, I make my way up the 3 story, killing the boosters...kill the one right in front of his tactical insertion...let him come back in and kill him again. These 2 were 10th level prestige boosters....sad. While I did not kill just them, I did manage to knife 5 people running up the stairs and got to 16-0 before dying. The boosters rage quit after I called in the Attack Heli. The funny thing is, both of them ended up as host at some point. So, if you find a game with boosters, I strongly suggest playing it.

I'll be on but be forewarned, I have suffered a critical injury yet again to my gaming ability. I rather painfully burned my thumb right at the middle fingerprint pad and right pointer finger along side the knuckle. I have a lovely blister forming under what has to be several layers of dead, cooked skin and it's mildly annoying now and will probably hinder my ability to shoot people eventually at one point in a match or another.

On the plus side, I damn near burned off my fingerprint. While cool in concept, it hurts like a mofo when you have to actually do it or in my case, stupidly burn yourself with one very hot torch tip.

Yep...those bright guys....there was one who was really running his mouth off...the 10th level prestige who I assume either hacked or boosted his way there. I like replaying a lot of missions for the Good Job completion. For instance 3-1 I get a kick out of toying with the Cat G Akrid, crap tons of credits/career points and it's a really super short episode that you can grind for a ton of ? boxes. But that's just the perfectionist/completionist in me, so I replay a ton of stuff.

I'm just going to play around with some of the titles. They're not as neat as the ones from MW2 24/7 but I'll have to tinker with it some. Just a quick example as I put it all together, phrases are fine, if you bother to find it in you to put it all together, have fun. Mad - you are absolutely correct, again. I only played 1 match last night....UMP + silencer + slight of hand + stopping power equaled kicking butt for me....came in about 3-4 minutes in and went 20-10. Wish I would've had Pablo selected......the Attack Heli did enough damage though.

Eh,not really.I hopefully will again sooon though.I also have the same model of MBP (13" C2D Spring 2010) and I use the HD PVR (http://www.amazon.com/Hauppauge-1212-Definition-Personal-Recorder/dp/B0018LX0DY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282608513&sr=8-1) and i use El Gato software (http://www.elgato.com/). The only thing that sucks is that the files are huge and you have to use component to record. You can't use HDMI to record. The quality is excellent though. The HD PVR comes with software to record but it's only compatible with Windows and there is a free Mac recording software to record for the HD PVR but it would crash constantly,for me atleast.

Sorry for bailing on you guys on Rundown but between the host hitting the lag switch and people not able to recover from being camped, I had enough with my rusty skills. Went on to do a Hardcore match which I did terrible on, did some regular TDM until I got back into something of a groove and finally put myself relatively together for a few games with Jax, Skydive and Toxic.

The first CTF match we all played I completely just was horrible, when I was running to the flag I completely noobed it up, not able to get a guy in my sights even though he was right in front of me and finally just spammed hip fire until he died. He was just as terrible as me apparently.

I agree that we have some good times playing as a group. It does get a little frustrating though when we dont exactly play as a team, but in a few more levels I will be the anti air guy rocking scavenger, cold blooded and a stinger. No more UAVs, Harriers, or Helicopters wreaking havoc on us, and most of all, no more kaiser asking why is an air unit still in the air after dying 4-5 times.

im still learning the finer points of online play my feet are still wet. i dont normally start out with my anti air class and im not rocking one man army so it takes a while. maybe it would help if when were playing we could have like a person who just rocks a anti air class kinda like when we ctf and i just stay back and defend... just a suggestion.

toxic, I dont know about the joystick knobs, but the real triggers are really useful for the L2 and R2 buttons for FPS and racing games, I have a pair on each of my DS3s. Damn my internet noobness, cant figure out how to post a link that isnt a mile long. Just search amazon for "real trigger".

I want to give those joystick knobs a try but I'm not sure how much they'll help as fine aiming is all well and good but my sensitivity is at 8, I'm usually able to quickly compensate. Auto Aim however has been a bitch, it's interfered with me shooting at least 3 times to the point where I'm either aiming down at my feet when somebody runs past me, it pulls me off my target when an enemy runs across my gun sights or it hangs and makes me overcompensate and over aim at somebody, targeting their side than midsection.

I can't wait to get my stinger back I typically have it equip on every class...nothing better then taking out someone kill streak before it can kill anyone. UAV's can be a pain in the ass sometimes though. Also miss my Ninja Pro, I hate stomping around everywhere right now.

I use the default controls, I tried tactical and unless you're a drop shotter, it really sucks for me to use it. I may have to take up the technique after 10th though, just to really piss people off. I find adjusting to the higher sensitivity settings the hardest part more than simply using the controls, I have to literally aim to slow myself down since ADS speed is slower than normal looking around.

I'm not sure what you are talking about since MW2 is all about realistic play. I mean, what's not real about drop shots, quick scoping, detonating C4 while it is in the air, chucking a grenade halfway across a map, an unseen grenade launched across a map for a multi-kill, using an rpg on someone right next to you and not taking any damage yourself, and let us not forget the reality of killing someone while "blowing off their pinky toe" to paraphrase Harlem Nights.

i am awaiting confirmation from a source but i beleive the falcon6134 is also the kid on youtube who keeps making videos of how he supposedly hacked the servers and programmed the game to be glitch. he is using a usb stick with some kind of file that does some wicked stuff to the online servers when he logs in .. thats why he never really plays more than one game in a row. its like tracing a phone call you stay on 2 long and your dead. but my "friend" got enough of his location to find out where his parents live cause. he the internet bill is in their name. will start by sending some cease and decist legal papers that look like they come from sony and activision hopefully it will spook him if not. several anon phone calls to the local child services in that city/county will defin. do the trick

We were basically trying to get ribbons and challenges out of the way in private match, since public games are so unbalanced. Talk about all the bad things about MW2 (noob tubes, camp snipers, etc) and that is KZ2 online. And the starting class sucks as all you have is a pistol, an assault rifle, and a grenade while the high level goons have bazookas, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, airborne bots, all kinds of other stuff that makes the game not fun. I really just want to get the platinum trophy while finishing up single player. The multiplayer aspect just does not appeal to me (I would rather play MW2).

i changed my zoom and fire to the r2 l2 buttons and added some real triggers. and i was pleasntly surprised last night i one match i went 10-2-3 which is rather odd for me cause my middle name is "bulletsponge" or " decoy duck" im at 67 and dont plan on prestiging after i hit 70 it took me this long to get to 70 and with Black ops commin out in around 2 months i would rather just go out on a high note

Believe me I didn't want to back out, those guys were terrible but I felt obligated to pick up Toxic. I actually hate backing out of an easy lobby to pick up people but we all have to make sacrifices for game night. If it wasn't a game night then I'm not backing out to pick anybody up if I'm rocking a bunch of crappy players.

If you can lay down 3-4 shots on your target, you got a kill with the SCAR. It seems to be Snake's go-to gun as well. I like it a lot but the low magazine count really just hurts me where it counts, it's painful to get anything above a 4 kill streak with it if you miss a couple of shots or have to shoot down a UAV.

The next gun after the SCAR in terms of an upgrade is the TAR. Thing kicks like a mule so burst fire until you get a silencer on it, then it just rapes apes. Once you master the TAR, you'll be a master of the AK since the AK has less kick and better accuracy. I will say you may want to hip fire to ADS rather than wait for the ADS to fire, that half second means a crap ton in terms of survivability, just pull the trigger right away, aim as you're firing and you should double your survival rate in face to face encounters.

Those are just killing guns, I don't consider the M4, the ACR or the F2000 to be anything other than challenge fillers. I do like the sights on the M4 and the ACR but you're going to lose against a SCAR, TAR or AK bullet for bullet. That said, it doesn't hurt to get used to the M4 and the ACR, since they're great pick up weapons when you find them out and about.

The sound you hear is the suitcase opening up, that's the only sound ever made and you have to catch those two clicks opening.

Oddly enough the F2000 silenced isn't too bad running Cold Blooded. Way more stealthy but I still hate the way this gun handles. It's like a pea shooter, the ACR is great if you can tag the head and chest but otherwise it's also a pea shooter. When I was using the SCAR I simply emptied my bullets as accurately as possible and swapped out my secondary for any primary on the ground. It really is not a long term gun, more of a shoot it and swap.

I do relatively well, better if I'm the host. I notice a definite advantage using the SCAR/TAR if I'm a 3 bar but otherwise I'm almost whipping it around as well as the ACR. I can get roughly 3 kills per magazine if I ration my spraying and I've gotten more doubles with it than the ACR, not too terrible.

Hehe, last night was great. Between me making that team rage quit with all the triples, I just had a lot of fun trying out the Precision Airstrike as a killstreak. It certainly helped that they were pretty garbage but that was the most fun I've had on Trailer Park and Scrapyard in a while. It's like lets launch a Predator, score a triple, call in a Harrier, score a double, call in the Precision Airstrike score a triple and +1 on the third bombing.

While I wasn't in my top form, it certainly was pretty decent. I still have more rust to shake off. I'll be on today if anybody is around, since I want to hack/Prestige to 10th.

teknobeavr I just picked up the AX720's an absolutely love them. I picked them up for $100 with a coupon code from the deals forum...but it's expired, so keep your eye out for a deal. The only thing I don't like is they hurt your ears after about 4-5 hour gaming session but so do your eyes so no big deal there and switching back and forth between sound settings if you want to play a game with your tv sound. This is being extremely picky, other than that I'm really happy with the purchase.

Mad I have been trying the TAR an absolutely love it, my friend and I were tearing it up tonight...but that's probably because we had a weak room.

Kaiser didn't say that, Nokill said that during a Domination match where people kept leaving points that we just capped and they got recapped within 30 seconds to a minute. Oddly enough, that seemed to hit people right and they stopped leaving points open for capture as much. Domination on smaller maps like Terminal, Favela(more the close quarters of B) and Scrapyard will get us yelling at people to do things, especially on Terminal when they force us into A spawn and we get camped. Never ever take end up in A spawn on Terminal in Domination.

I don't usually have any issues with you, oddly enough I don't remember you getting me killed except for that one time you triple killed us during CTF by jumping on that car when we came to provide you an escort. I have yet to hear Snake on the mic, even though he has one, so I fully expect to hear him say "I'm just a man who's good at what he does: Killing."

mad.. on places like terminal like the other night with flag a the problem i was having is that i was spawning in that corner i would take literally 1 step and the die it was like i was caught on a infinite loop no matter how fast i was trying to run or which direction i went it seemed that i would take a step and spawning and instantly die.

Now that I'm taking a break from playing, I just want to say that we whooped some serious ass today so far. It started with Kaiser, Takeover and myself, with me yelling at some noobs. Then we got Seuss, then Fred came on and we got Mercanary and Packers later on. I think we went like 6-7 matches of Riot Shields until Seuss and Packers got the game winning kill cams with the shields for their titles, incidentally we went undefeated once we had a full team of CAGs.

Mercanary, sorry about your FUze buddies but we didn't want to play Ground Wars and I didn't feel like playing with people I don't know. As you can see we were just being goofballs and I can't really let myself go when playing with new(to me) people. When we're on a roll, I keep the teams strictly CAGs and never budge from it, I just trust these guys more than anybody else to play with.

Things I learned today:
1) I must be cheating to go 19 and 0 during the first 5 minutes of our first Riot Shield Rangers challenge.
2) We can actually make Seuss turn off his mic! :rofl:

In our formative months, I think the we had pretty much the most insane time figuring things out and just doing crazy stuff. I still fall back to my roots somewhat but I try not to charge so much any more into stuff I know I can't handle, even though it may take me 5 or so tries to give up. The biggest problem we're facing now is we're getting spawn camped more than we used to. It's always something new, but at least I'll be useless again for a little bit until I hack my levels back up :)

Don't know how you use that peashooting bouncyhouse for a gun. Thing takes half a clip to kill somebody, and everytime you fire off a round it bounces all around. I would honestly use the abysmally inaccurate P90 then the F2000.

The thing is actually a headshot machine. I can get 2-3 kills per clip which is in line with the ACR & M4 but if I aim at the chest and take a hit from a bullet, it jerks up just a hair and I score an instant headshot. 9 out of 10 times, if I'm not dead, it's a headshot in those circumstances. A little over 10% of my kills with it were headshots and I'm not terribly good with those in terms of aiming since I usually go for the chest/midsection. I can aim at a dude running away or running sideways and score one without even trying, mind you it's with a silencer since any optics on it suck majorly.

It's all down to gun handling and this one just whips around so nicely. It's like thirsty for headshots. I did manage to score over 1000 kills with it during my last 10 levels of my 9th Prestige, so not too horrible overall.

Now that I'm taking a break from playing, I just want to say that we whooped some serious ass today so far. It started with Kaiser, Takeover and myself, with me yelling at some noobs. Then we got Seuss, then Fred came on and we got Mercanary and Packers later on. I think we went like 6-7 matches of Riot Shields until Seuss and Packers got the game winning kill cams with the shields for their titles, incidentally we went undefeated once we had a full team of CAGs.

Mercanary, sorry about your FUze buddies but we didn't want to play Ground Wars and I didn't feel like playing with people I don't know. As you can see we were just being goofballs and I can't really let myself go when playing with new(to me) people. When we're on a roll, I keep the teams strictly CAGs and never budge from it, I just trust these guys more than anybody else to play with.

Things I learned today:
1) I must be cheating to go 19 and 0 during the first 5 minutes of our first Riot Shield Rangers challenge.
2) We can actually make Seuss turn off his mic! :rofl:
3) Rangers akimbo FTMFW! :twoguns:
4) People do not know how to handle a team of people with riot shields. :shame:
5) Vector wasn't hard to kill with. :applause:

So, does #2 mean we are going to try to get as many people to rage quit as possible? Count me in. This means we have to spawn camp at every opportunity. Guess this means people need to learn not to touch the third flag in domination when we have the other two.....double that thought if we are on Highrise if you want the mega-kills.

As far as other weapons, you've made me branch out. Never thought I'd use the TAR or UMP much and may still go back to them. Really liking the M16 this time around. One issue I know I have right now is that I am losing kills because I always want to use the sights and don't spray when someone gets a jump on me.


I may be on tonight if the storms here are not too bad....need to try to hit 45 ASAP since I have some sick claymore - c4 combo spots going through my mind.....I need OMA.....that and I'm layed up for any physical activity for a couple of days anyway due to this cortisone shot.

I just pulled a 12 hour day, solo on an install that I really needed a helper at the very least for. If this heat wave in the NY/NJ area keeps up until Friday, I don't think I'll have much energy to play. My face even started cramping today, usually it's the hands, forearms and legs. I'm hoping for a nice hurricane vacation from this heat, there isn't enough momentum to keep the heat going long enough to break stuff that isn't an easy fix.

So yeah I just watched the new multiplayer trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops and wow they took out a lot of the BS from mw2. Apparently there is no more commando and one man army (thank freaking god) and the recording of in game is pretty nice too especially with mad playing........ lol
But the only thing I am worried about is that they have a tier one perk called Flack Jacket and I really hope thats not a return of juggernaut...... That would mean you always gonna need to run with stopping power again :(
So this may mean a buy for me depending on if there are any good deals out there lol

I didn't forget about the contest. I'm just going to procure a card and I'll announce the winner, hopefully by this weekend. Work has not been nice to me enough for me to relax.

I'm glad the forums are finally back online, it was interesting to see that we had a good showing but without the forums it kinda just started the night badly. We took a beating but Electric made a showing, which was awesome. It's great to have an "old school" CAG who was with us from the beginning. I hope he's here to stay. All the games of the night were noob toob campfests and it really made it hard for us, those whom aren't super sneaky(like myself) I think got more frustrated, I was just frustrated at constantly respawning in the same spot.

Just a couple of things I noticed, when people start running towards the action, I see that they do a lot of the things I look for when I flank the opposing team.

1) They don't clear their left or right as they progress forwards, which means you either let somebody by or they take you out from your flank, worst case is you let somebody by because now they're at your rear and your teammates rear/flank.

2) You guys predictably pushed and chased their spawn at certain points, which meant you were ignoring your flank to move forward, if they take advantage of that, all they have to do is run to where you guys aren't, circle around and shoot at the multiple teammates whom are focused on moving forward. When you push their spawn, you also make it so the people flanking them have to constantly readjust their route to compensate for a moving spawn, which isn't good or bad.

3) Failing to fire or knife. I kept hearing Kaiser say shoot people, I stopped paying attention to whatever was going on so I didn't get upset and be completely negative. If you have somebody in front of you and you're running towards them, hip fire and transition to ADS if necessary. Go for the knife if they're closer than 10 feet because they're going for the knife at that point. Most of the time, if you clear left and right, then move forward, this becomes less of an issue on your end and completely reliant on the opposing team to engage you.

All in all, we took a beating and it's going to happen. I'm glad we had a good turn out though. Hopefully Electric is here to stay as that was only half our usual cast members.

Well the funny thing is I am looking for a new FPS to play besides mw2 (and lets face it unless Nokill gives me a free copy of MoH i am not touching that game) and black ops seems to be mw2 without the bs perks. I love the fact theres no stopping power which seems better. Cause really everyone and their mother rocks stopping power besides when you use the explosive version of stopping power
I'll probably wait and find a way to get the game cheap (maybe through store credit or some sale that probably hits soon there after) Besides the supporting Activision is kinda hard not to do since they slept with blizzard and thats a cash cow and a half.

More recoil is good as well as less damage. It always felt like there were some guns that were beast with no recoil (ACR) or mowed people down with its extreme power (SCAR-H) or both (ACR in Hardcore :lol: )

The killstreaks look somewhat interesting, but I wonder if they are too low? How will good players not completely, obscenely dominate with a Chopper Gunner at 9 kills?

They might have lowered the effectiveness and length of the chopper gunner. Who knows though.

I got 'GTH' from the local library yesterday. I don't usually like GTA or open-world games, but DAMN, there's something about this one that just pulled me right in. Probably the fact that it's not a setting you see too often in games.
