So now for the fourth time since buying my original console on release day. I went to turn my console on for some glorious Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and much to my dismay I see three flashing red lights! Lucky for me Microsoft extended the warranties for the E74 error and I can get it repaired for free, but what really sucks is I have MW2, Dragon Age: Origins, and WWE SVR2010 all for the 360 and I was playing and enjoying all three of those titles a great deal. Even worse I have Assassins Creed II coming from Amazon and low and behold I pre-ordered it for the 360 as well and now I must wait till I get my console back before I can even play it!!!

I do have a PS3, but I have beaten Uncharted 2 and while I do enjoy the multiplayer, it's no MW2. So it looks like I will be playing Demon's Souls for awhile now.

I really hate how crappy of a console the 360 is, I have owned every major console and quite a few of the little guys since the NES and never once have I had a console ridden with so many problems like the 360.

Why don't you buy an Arcade unit from Wal-Mart (people have reported the $100 gift card deal being extended to the 15th). Then, sell your refurbished unit (without hard drive, etc. of course) when you get it back.

That would be nice if I had $100 to spend and if I was going to do that, I would just go out and buy the Modern Warfare 2 system so I could have a new console and way bigger HDD.

Selling a 360 without the HDD would only net me $100 if I was lucky anyway. I'll just play on my girlfriends 360 until I get mine back.

Yes, because if you were "only" able to sell a barebones 360 for $100 it would "only" mean that you'd have a brand new Jasper HDMI unit for basically free (assuming that a $100 WM giftcard is like cash if you do any shopping at all there)...rather than relying on a 4 year old unit that has broken 4 times already. I can see how that's comparable to spending $400 on a completely superfluous system.

I was just trying to suggest a really good idea while there happens to be a really good deal going on. You're the one coming on CAG whining about it. Besides, if you can't spare $100 to maintain your system, maybe you shouldn't be buying so many brand new games. Or even better, if you have another system to play on anyway, maybe you shouldn't make a post on CAG bitching about it.

Wow, someone throw up the asshole flag. I don't shop at Wal-Mart so a $100 gift card at Wal-Mart would be rather pointless for me.

You need to have more information before you start making posts that make you sound like a complete douche.

If I were to buy a new 360 I would buy the MW2 edition because I want a bigger HDD anyway, I have a 20 GB. Also the unit that I am sending in is barely a year old. It's not the same console I bought at launch. So why would I waste $100 on a system now at Wal-Mart, when I am getting mine repaired for free? If I were to sell my repaired system for $100 I would have to find someone to buy it. Gamestop would give me peanuts for it in cash and other local places around here wouldn't give me much more than the price of a new release.

So why post about it?

Because I wanted to vent about it, that's what forums are for. Why do you continue to reply?
