Do GameStop/EBGames do a price match for new games with other stores or are they firm on their prices?

I've had YMMV success with this. When I lived in Tennessee, they matched competitor's prices always, but here in Kansas I haven't had one attempted price matching success.

As far as I know, there is no corporate policy concerning price matching. As the poster before me alluded to, people have had some success. It would seem that some stores or districts might take it upon themselves.

Gamestop's corporate policy is not to but the manager can override that. so ymmv

total ymmv. try to snipe a store that is directly next to a MAJOR competitor. Not K-Mart. they'll laugh if it's K-Mart... I would...
Also, shoot for the lower traffic strip stores. The mall guys do alright without ever price matching, so they won't. still, it is total ymmv.

i called both gamestops in my area and the ysaid no price match. thanks 4 ur input though.

Totally YMMV. Gamestop use to price match in a land far far away, but that was more than 5-6 years ago.
