I just feel like NBA 2K5 is just the same. Thinking of dumping it off and getting NBA LIve 2005. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking the same thing as well. I hope it's not not on EB's exclusions list.

i got nba live and im enjoying it a lot. The ASW is real fun if you dont suck at it. Also the dynasty is incredibly improved and making those trades in the beggining of the season to make your team from crap to NBA champs dont work as well anymore. I suggest you try Live before you trade in 2k5 to see which you like more

I played both, but I must say I liked Nba Live alot better. The gamplay to the graphics. Don't get me wrong, Espn is okay. But I guess its your opinon
Yeah, I'm kinda disappointed with 2K5. I guess I was expecting more, but then again, I just got it today, so I'm sure I'll get more into it. And its not like I can afford NBA Live anyways.
Do what you want. I haven't bought a basketball game since NBA Jam on SNES.

NBA2K5 is incredible! But I've always loved Sega Sports' games more than the EA ones.

I tried both of them this year and I like the gameplay of Live better. It does have flaws however: computer gets back way too fast on defense and passes can't be caught on the run. Plus I'm not impressed by the camera angles and the graphics are subpar compared to 2k5. If only Live was 2k5's price, then it would be worth it.

IMO that would the most inane decision any single person has ever done.

I thought NBA 2K5 sucked and I sold it. But I also thought the last 2 years of Live sucked too.

NBA 2K5 is definitely a great game, and I love the HDD support. It saves directly to the HDD and I love seeing actual replays from the game. I'm having a blast since it just looks so good and pays great.

I personally have yet to try Live 2k5 on Xbox.. Although I dont really see how ESPN NBA has any flaws..
However, I did play a demo or something of Live 2k5 on the gc... And I reallly disliked it, maybe it was the gamecube tho..

Trust me its the gamecube. Never judge a sports game by a gamecube

Yeah I don't think that there has ever been a worse system for sports games other than the Gamecube. I think Live is a better game, but the price for ESPN is pretty good also.

I'm a bigger fan of live, but right now I only own 2k5 because of the sweet price, I will pick up live when it gets cheap

The nail in 2K5's coffin.....CPU doesn't call timeout....never. They could be down by 1 with 2 seconds on the clock....they'll never do it.
Live rocks.

wow i didnt know that. That is as bad as AI can get. I mean come on in Live they even call timeouts when they are allowing a huge run to recooperate

I can't wait till NBA STREET VOL. 3 which comes out during SPRING 2005. The last two have been great. Check out the trailer and screenshots @

I've been a fan of ESPN basketball for a few years now. I bought NBA 2k5 but couldn't get into it. I traded it in after about 2 days. Gamerush gave me $13 for it in case anyone cares.
I haven't tried Live yet but I may give it a rental. I tried a couple years ago but didn't like it as much as ESPN. Maybe things have changed since then.

They had a list of games posted at CC that're on the B2G1 sale, and it was listed as one of the games.
