Welcome back to the Second Season of 1 vs 100 as the team has made a lot of tweaks and changes to help make this a much better experience this season.

Group Hug -- Your team of four simultaneously achieves a Streak of three consecutive correct answers. 10G
Trivia Fanatic -- Answer a total of 500 questions. 30G
Golden Century -- Answer a total of 100 questions correctly. 25G
Hair Trigger -- Get three consecutive questions right while receiving an Instant Answer Bonus for each. 15G
Quick Draw -- In a single round, receive six consecutive Instant Answer Bonuses. 25G
Go Streaking! -- In a single round, achieve a Streak of five consecutive correct answers. 15G
Game Show Guru -- In any single round, achieve a Streak of 12 consecutive correct answers. 25G
Quarter Century -- Answer a total of 25 questions correctly. 10G
Speedy Delivery -- In a single round, score a total of 1300 points through time bonuses. 20G
Safe Keeping -- Extended Play: In a single round, save up the maximum of three Skips. 10G
Showboating Specialist -- In a single 1 vs 100 Live round, max out your Avatar Action 10 times. 10G
Low Rider -- Answer instantly and incorrectly three times in a row. 5G

1 vs 100 Live Improvements
-Trust the Brain is now Trust the Top 10 to lessen the numerous times One's were eliminated because the Brain missed the question.
-Your stats can be pulled up by pressing the right trigger now for faster access to those stats. It probably disappears when you let go of the trigger.
-The One now has their status set to Busy so they can't be flooded with messages as people spammed them last season as a distraction.
-The One's entrance is a bit more dramatic, as he/she/it will appear at the top of the nearby staircase and strike a pose before coming down to the center stage.
-Criteria for being chosen for The Mob or The One is now solely based on scoring in the game, for that week, and for the entire season. So now the show rewards frequent players more this season if you check out the Live Shows and Extended Plays often enough.
-You can now earn badges that represent accomplishments that will appear on your in-game profile.
-There is a level system that is based on cumulative score, so you should go up in levels as you play more throughout the season.
-Instead of just a group leader icon, you will be lifted up on a podium if you're the top scorer in your group after a round.
-There are new dance moves based on "The Carlton" and "The Elaine."


Extended Play Improvements
-The set is supposed be much bigger and tuned to make it feel more like you're playing alongside the thousands of others rather than being next to a few avatars and seeing a bunch of red lights to indicate how the crowd did.
-Skips have been replaced with Safeties, which give you credit for the correct answer automatically along with preserving your streak, so you only lose out on time bonuses. Skips only preserved your streak last season, which made you fall behind on points in your group easily for taking advantage of that feature.
-Bonus Questions will show up at times that give you an opportunity for extra points if you get them right. They're supposed to be harder to help give leaders a chance to get a bigger leader, the rest can make up ground a bit faster, and provides for a chance to use the safety.
-There are supposed to be more themed nights that include new additions like Finish the Lyrics, 80's, and Vampires.

Damn, just realized when I was poking around on the fine print for this, that apparently residents of Iowa aren't allowed/aren't supposed to play during the Live games. Kinda sucks for me, though I get a kick out of the extended play anyway.

This week, join tens of thousands of Xbox LIVE members on the largest interactive game show stage in the world, where you’ll once again be pitted against “the One,” the Mob” or “the Crowd. ” Do you have a competitive streak? We know people love to compete and most importantly, win, so we’ve added new features that will have you jumping off the couch to answer the next trivia question.

Get the scoop by answering the following:

Question 1: You know you’re good at “1 vs 100” and you’ve got the Achievements to prove it! In Season 2, what other bragging rights will you receive?
A: You will be able to notify the people in your Xbox LIVE Party of your success by pressing a button on your controller.
B: Your Avatar will grow taller or shorter depending on how well you play.
C: You will receive Badges based on your accomplishments to show as a sign of pride.

Question 2: In “1 vs 100” Season 2, you’ll be able to keep track of how well you’ve played throughout the season by:
A: The number of golden eggs that appear at your front door.
B: A scoring ladder that illuminates when your Avatar takes the stage.
C: Which level you’re on – one through 50 – based on your score throughout the season.

Question 3: At the end of each round, how will you know how you stack up against others in your Xbox LIVE party?
A: The Avatars of everyone in your party will stand on a podium – if you’re the best, you’ll be on top!
B: The Avatar of the highest scoring player does a belly dance at the end of the round.
C: The Avatar of the highest scoring player will jump up and down in celebration.

Question 4: Avatars like to celebrate too! What will you be able to unlock for your Avatar throughout “1 vs 100” Season 2?
A: “1 vs 100” Avatar emotes – now you can really tell the crowd what you’re thinking.
B: “1 vs 100” Avatar dances – among the smooth moves, “the Carlton” and “the Elaine.”
C: New “1 vs 100” hairdos – the fohawk, the beehive and the bowl cut.

The answer to question 1 is…. C: You will receive Badges based on your accomplishments to show as a sign of pride. We love Achievements! In “1 vs 100” Season 2, Xbox LIVE will award Badges that will appear in your personal stats for outstanding accomplishments, including if your accuracy is 90% or higher.

The answer to question 2 is…. C: Which level you’re on – one through 50 – based on your score throughout the season. Want to know how well you’ve played this season? Your cumulative score determines what level you’re on from one through 50 – you know a level 50 contestant is on fire!

The answer to question 3 is…. A: The Avatars of everyone in your party will stand on a podium – if you’re the best, you’ll be on top! For instant bragging rights, if you’ve got the best score in your Xbox LIVE party at the end of the round, your Avatar will stand triumphant at the very top of a podium.

The answer to question 4 is…. B: “1 vs 100” Avatar dances – among the smooth moves, “the Carlton” and “the Elaine.” Yes, get ready to dance. Your Avatar will be breaking it down on the “1 vs 100” dance floor, with classic moves from pop-culture.
They've added some interesting stuff for this season. I'll definitely be checking out some of the Extended Plays tonight.

Just got on for Extended Play and I'm surprised that there was no initial download. There's a new lobby area that recaps your stats for the season so far, counts your presses of the amp button, and counts down the time left until you're in the game.

Damn man I got a 13 streak and got booted, was hoping to keep it going as long as possible. I already have half the achievements from playing one and a half sessions. I must be having the best luck cause I don't recall ever doing so well the first season.

Son of a bitch. Tried playing this earlier, and I'm getting a "Can't receive data from Xbox live" error or something along those lines. Used a 48 hour gold card I had sitting around due to the free gold weekend coming up, and now my account is showing up as silver when I look at the profile, but when I play OTHER games online, it works. Anyone have any ideas?

Really bummed out I'm missing the first day of this, I was looking forward to it.

It's probably not compatible with Gold trials. Just wait for the Free Gold Weekend that starts tomorrow to check it out.

The one month cards are valid subscription cards, so those should give you a full Gold account since a lot of people used those GTA IV cards to extend their accounts.

I played earlier and had more fun this time around than last season. I got up to level 2 and earned new dance moves, lol. I also got a few achievements and I like how you can see your stats by using the RT button.

My wife and I played last night. It's fun, though it's just trivia. Neither of us are that good at trivia. Still, I'll play it more. One question: how do you have a "4 player team"? I didn't see how you would play with more then one player on the xbox, or is the 4 player team with other people over the net? Either way it wasn't obvious how you do that.

Tried some extended play last night, and the new stage for it is Awesome! Got to get my old timing back and I couldn't play for too long last night anyway.
That said I cannot wait for the live show tonight! I will probably play an EP Session or 2 to get fully back into the swing of things, this way when the Live show starts, I'll be ready!

How is this game still broken? I've been kicked off of the show and then Live twice in the first 15 minutes, which is about how every live show last season began. The Extended Play shows were fine yesterday, so I was hoping that they got their act together during the off-season, but I see that they didn't fix anything.

I like that before the round starts, it'll specifically tell you if you're in the crowd, mod, or the one in the widget up atop so people don't think they're in the mob every round.

Edit: They also got rid of most of the in-game leaderboards, so people probably won't be masking X to get their gamertags on there.

I ended up being in The Mob the last round. Ended up winning Uno Rush and 80 Microsoft Points.

Despite the bad start, it was a pretty good evening. I'm only a level 8 from playing yesterday and today, so there's still a long ways to get level 50. At least the achievements are fairly easy, so it shouldn't be too hard to eventually get them all.

You're not the only one Frisky, at the beginning, both times when Cashman went live I got disconnected. But it was smooth sailing after that. I was getting pissed off that my group couldn't nab the group hug achievement, IMO each round usually started with 3-5 very easy/simple questions and one person would always miss it!

Finally got a solution, had to use a full 1-month card to kick it in the nuts and get it rolling.

Went from level 1 to 15 playing from the extended play before the show and then to the end of the live show, had a good time. One of the people in my little group got into the mob at one point which was fun. Only 3 achievements shy from all of them. Gotta get 500 questions, get 6 consecutive instant answers, and 3 instant incorrect answers.

Bit annoying I had to dump a full month card on it now instead of using the free weekend, but such is life. Glad I can play.

That sure was a fun night. I was in the first ever mob for the season! Got knocked out on the artist question, which was very annoying. First time I've been in the mob ever! I think they went by lifetime score for the first mob because I did rather well on the extended plays last night (4/8 Top 100) Furthermore, everyone in my party of four ended up in the mob as well, with only one of us getting prizes... There is always next time.

About 3-5 minutes before showtime at the earliest, select the show icon, and select Download/Play.

It's continuous from 8 PM until the end, so you can join at any point before that and get in. Just find the 1 vs 100 icon on the Games Marketplace tab and you can find the available show there that you can join. Also, there's a reminder feature so it'll tell you when it's about to start.

I was killing in the horror one then my connection lost. When I got it back I was on a streak and my controller said reconnect controller. When I tried reconnecting it, it came back on but none of the button presses registered! I tried two full batteries. I'm so pissed... Can anyone tell why it did this?

I came close to getting the 6 consecutive instant answer achievement a few times tonight (during Video Games and Horror) but wasn't quick enough or correct any of the times. Managed to get 7 of the other achievements though. I got the 3 skips one during video games. Got 2 skips during the first 6 questions , managed to get the last skip around 15 or so.

Anyone know what the other awards in the profile section are? I know the first one is dance moves , and the last one is contest entries , what about the rest? Can they be gotten during live or extended play games? Also is there any way to look at all the dances that you've unlocked?

Badges are for Live Shows. I know the sniper scope is getting at least 90% of the questions right in a round and the gold coin next to it is for getting the question right that The One misses. I haven't gotten the others, but I do know it'll count how many times you earn any of them.

Not all... I think only the top row are for Live Shows; Granted I have never gotten close to 90% accuracy on extended play so I wouldn't know about it.

So, I was part of the mob during Friday night's 1 vs. 100 live show, and after we beat the one, I got a message that everyone in the mob had won an XBLA game and some Microsoft points, and that I would get an email with redemption codes.

I haven't received anything yet, and I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes, or if anyone else was in the mob on Friday and has received anything yet.

You sure it wasn't that everyone in the 100 that was still active had won? I don't play that much anymore but I was under the impression that only the 1 or the 100 could win prizes as well as just a few random mob members, not the whole mob. That would equate to hundreds of thousands of microsoft points and probably tens of thousands of XBLA games given away for free.

As far as I ever knew, the remaining 100 after beating the 1 would split the points he had earned and get an XBLA game. I could very well be wrong though.

I won in the MOB last season, here's how it works:
You'll get your points email in about two weeks. It goes to the email address registered to your Live account.
Then about three weeks after that you'll get the email with your game, which will be the right game as advertised when you won, but the email will say that it's a different game. Just enter the 5x5 and it will unlock whatever you actually won.

The Mob doesn't split the points, they're awarded a certain amount based on how many are left. If you'd like to know more, just read the 1v100 FAQ on xbox.com in the forums area.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to convey in the OP, I was part of the remaining mob of 100 after the one struck out. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

It's based on points this season. So if you play all the Extended Plays an amass a nice amount of points yo have a good chance of getting in.

Am I the only one who thinks that some are somehow cheating in the game? It just seems impossible that some in the crowd have this perfect scores which require to answer every question perfect in less than .8 seconds. Plus whenever they make it into the mob or be the one they are always getting knocked off on simple questions or asking the mob for help. I believe 21 people from the Mob got knocked off the first question of Tim Burtons Batman.

Couple of things I wish they would do to fix the game.

1. Add an extra second onto the instant answer bonus. You have to press the button immediately after the answer is given. It should be done after all 3 choices are shown.

2. Divide the shows up. 50'000 plus people were playing tonight. Make a show for every 10'000 or so. That way people have a slightly higher advantage for making it into the mob or being "The 1".

3. What is the benefit for being in the mob? You have a very small chance at winning 30-50 Live points. Pretty much every contestant as the 1 gets to 5000 or 6000 and walks away.

I dunno man, the mob seemed to be doing fairly well I think. Although a lot of the "1's" were getting knocked out on sub 1000 points which isn't much to split up between the mob. I don't think they would ever divide the shows up since they'd have to give out more points. I mean there's really no point to it. But I've used my one mob victory for the season and got 400 points + arcade game. Super fun.

There has to be some sort of cheating going on. It's impossible to me for someone to get every single question right apart of the crowd and get an instant bonus each time. Then when they finally become the 1 or join the mob they become stupid.

I got 31/37 questions right with a score of 61k during the last sports based one during the weekend but my longest streak is 17 during a regular Extended Play. I got a trophy for finishing in the Top 100 from that show. I seem to do better with the subject specific shows.

I had that exact same problem too a few months ago and read that you have to delete all your reminders and never use them again. And if that doesn't work, then delete your game and save files (Don't worry, your stats are kept online and will be there when you play again.). I had to do both and ever since then I've never had another problem as long as I didn't use Reminders. I thought for sure they would have fixed this problem by now.

I'm not saying this solution works for everyone, but I was amazed it did for me.

Hold down the right trigger while in game and look at your season stats. I thought it was going to be tough to get to 500 questions but it's pretty easy doing an extended play (37 questions) here and there and the live shows.

Quick Draw (In a single round, received six consecutive Instant Answer Bonuses) was the toughest one for me.

People still in need of the Quick Draw achievement should play the first six questions of every show since often they are pretty easy save for one or two of them. If that's the last one you need, you can probably just leave after the 7th question and come back next show, since if you don't have it by that point, you likely won't get it that game. Also, make sure you move your finger over each button and have it ready to press the split second you see the right answer.

If there is a theme show with a category you know a lot about, that's your best chance. I even got 9 Instant Answers in a row on Video Games.

I'm up to almost 3000 questions answered and level 46. Was hoping to hit 50 before the end of the season, but doesn't look like it's going to happen since it takes about half a million points per level now.

Would be ideal if each season shared the same Achievement file and just added another 200 GS to it so that you could still get the old achievements in the next season. I swear they better NOT have an achievement next season for "Be The One".

Got my 500 question achievement so I'm set. Probably not going to bother with the 12 in a row. I will ask if anyone knows if using 3 skips when you get to 9 will net you the achievement, since in all other cases the skip counts as a correct answer (ie streak increases, full points, etc).

The 500 Questions Achievement is just for playing 500, not actually answering, so technically you can plug in your controller with a Play & Charge kit and let it run during every show while you do something else should you still need it and don't want to play every last show to do it.

12 in a row is really not that hard using Safeties. Many of the early questions are pretty easy, so just store them up. My personal best is actually 34 in a row during Commercials theme show. Then I proceeded to miss the next 3 after that.

Managed to get my 12 in a row tonight and was in the top 100. I figured I'd have to use my skip on the final 3x bonus question...then it wound up being a question about a hidden track on a Danzig album which was the easiest question of the round for me.

Anyway, since I have at least one of each I know that the green coin is 10+ in a row, the purple target coin is 90% accuracy, gold coin is beat The One, the blue trophy coin is top 100, but what do the other trophy coin and the ticket looking icon represent?

Don't forget the few times silver accounts were able to get on along with gold. I remember there were higher numbers on those days. But likely a whole number of players.

What they should do with the live shows is mix it up some. Like one week do it on Tuesday and Friday then the next week do it on Wednesday and Saturday or something. Just mix the days up occasionally so that it might give people a better shot of getting on. Then again if they start doing other shows that might fix that problem.

On that note , maybe what they could do if they start doing other shows/games for primetime , is that at least 1 of them (assuming at least 2 different ones) will be available to everyone , but won't offer prizes (or maybe lesser prizes) and make the gold required games the ones you can win stuff.

As far as achievements , what they might end up doing is just add them on to the current list. Instead of having achievement lists for each season , just have one running list that adds new achievements each season (like a title update or DLC).

I don't know why, but I'd love to see The Weakest Link as a show on Primetime. I think it would be really fun. There was a time playing 1vs100 this past week that I wanted to boot one guy out of my group because he kept screwing up my "Group Hug" achievement. We all got 2 in a row right like 3 different times, and this dude would be the only one to miss the 3rd question every time. I would have loved to have been able to tell him "Goodbye!" lol.

I have a hard time thinking of examples of games shows already in existence to take from. Most game shows tend to have a smaller amount of 'competitors'. I have a feeling that any more xbox prime time will have to be brand new material.

That happened early in the season when it seemed like the app was unresponsive and the only way I could get in was by joining a friend from the friends list, which I would get kicked from it anyway because it was still buggy back then.
