I wish I bought those games when it came out. Theyre selling like hotcakes on ebay.

It's cheap compared to what they go for on Ebay. I have seen a bundle set of RE2 and RE3 sealed go for $200.

So are the RE 2 and 3 ports on Gamecube as good as the PC versions? I think I'd rather go with those since it'd be like $5 for a new copy of the PC version.

They go for a lot on eBay b/c people on there are idiots and will buy anything if the seller has "rare" in the title. It's ridiculous.

In this case it is somewhat rare, atleast a sealed copy is. But I agree almost every ebay game is listed as rare, it gets ridiculous.

I don't see why anyone would want them. These versions are no better than the PS1 versions. Unlike the remakes of RE and RE Zero on the GameCube which are both works of art. If you really want these games, just pick up the PS1 versions cheap. If they were rebuilt from the ground up like the RE remake on the cube, I'd be all over them myself.

Unfortunately with Buy.com, it really isn't one to two weeks, it could be never for a discountiuned game like RE3.

I ordered Samba De Amigo maracas from them in 2000 that had the same ships in 1 to 2 weeks status. I ordered them in October, every few weeks I would get a backorder notice. Finally in January 2001, I e-mailed them and asked what was going on and they said the item was discontiuned and they won't be getting any more in. Yet they kept my order open and were still taking orders from it on the site.

Earlier than year, I had ordered Mario Golf for GBC which also had the same order status and it took 6 weeks to ship! (which is why I figured I would get the maracas eventually).

That was the last time I ordered from Buy.com

Bestbuy.com has Resident Evil: CVX for 19.99 for the GC.
I did a search on all Michigan stores to see if I could find a B&M to use a GGC at but no luck.
Even though they don't have free shipping anymore this still looks like a pretty good deal.

Yah, I've seen it for $20 in a few places but I'm not sure if I wanna get that since I have the Dreamcast version. The GC version has some extra stuff added in and I have the bonus have having pretty much a complete RE collection on Gamecube... hmm...

reason: Collectibility. RE2, 3 and CVX were all released in smaller numbers than regualr releases, and are hard to find. People who are buying them are collectors, they are likely not buying them to play, if they did want to play them that bad, they would buy a $5.00 PS1 copy and not an $80 sealed GC copy. This is like the 10th time I've said this, yet someone always asks why anyone would want to buy the GC versions for a large amount of money when they can be found cheaper on other consoles. I think we may need a sticky that describes why the GC versions are so much money and why people would want to buy them over the cheap PS1 versions.
