View Full Version : KBTOYS B&M 20% off everything again B&M. Consoles included
I just got back from the Paramus Park Mall in Paramus NJ. KB is having there 20% off everything in store again. I picked up a PSONE for $40 to go with my recently aquired LCD. They had PS2's and GBA SP's as well. Didn't see any XBOX's but I wasn't looking either.

Doh. I was at GSP the other day and didn't see anything on sale in that KB. But then again I didn't see any signs or price checked. I might as well go to Paramus Park now to see what's up. Thanks!
I think the 20% off everything is good for today and tomorrow only.

Picked up McFarlane Toys figure of Yao Ming for $10 and Turok Evolution for Xbox for $7.00. Not too shabby...

Turok is beyond shabby.
I got back with 2 new Hulk figures that we havn't gotten in yet at TRU. I picked up an extra Captain America. They had an older Hulk figure I never got with the ripped cloth shirt but I have too many hulk figures as it is. Their Marvel Legend (new ones) were overpriced and I could get them cheaper at work so I didn't buy any.
I picked up Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for $32. Pretty nice deal there. Anyone know if they are going to do this again and when?

This sale is a hose job for me because I was trying to use my coupon for $10 off any game $29.99 and over with combo for 20% off everything deal and get snubbed yet again.....f*cking fine print my cheapa$$......

I went to check it out on the way home from work because there's one close by....not a single new game under 49.99....tons of older games still priced at 49.99, like Starfox Adventures, and a ton of other old crap....GBA games for 34.99.....I did notice that the store didn't have any PS2 or XBOX consoles.....
I was sort of hoping i'd get maybe a discounted game even cheaper, but nothin doin at KB.

Yeah the same thing happened at the KB by me. They jacked up all the prices so even with the 20% off you didn't get a deal at all. I guess it didn't really matter since they only had junk anyway.

I guess but I ain't complaining really. I mean at the store I went to they had alot of pretty recent titles. Older titles it seems like it takes them forever to mark them down. You might also need to ask them the price at checkout because they might not change the sticker on the games.

This is sad. There are games for under 49.99 at KBs, no prices were jacked up, everything was priced the same it was yesterday. Star Fox was not $49.99, as price drops at KBs are universal. Sorry you guys had bad experiences, but these "stories" can't be based on much truth.

They should have let you use it, as long as the game was 29.99 after the 20%.

I will say this...I didn't ask how much Starfox Adventures was, for example....or any of the other OLD games still marked at 49.99....but in the Gamecube section, the price tags on these boxes said 49.99....maybe the prices were lower and no one updated the price stickers...but to me that's pretty stupid if you actually care to/intend to sell merchandise. It's not a "story", that's what the price stickers on the games said. I didn't say they jacked up prices...they're always that high. My point was just that 20% off old games still marked as when they came out is no deal. Of course there were some games marked down, but just as many that I couldn't believe were marked at 49.99.

Thats funny considering that had Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy for $39.99. I was under the impression that the price was jacked up considering it sells for 20 everywhere else. But I guess I'm a liar.

The prices right there were not jacked up for Sphinx, it is just that they were never jacked down. That is a difference but I have seen some games sell for $55.99 so I understand. Remember, this is a store that IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS so it might have been because of some of these things that is why they are digging themsevles out of a hole.

I agree with you as far as games.....KB is ok for toys....it seems they're pretty quick to mark down figures and other toys that don't sell to well....but at least the ones I've been to are totally clueless about video games...
The prices right there were not jacked up for Sphinx, it is just that they were never jacked down. That is a difference but I have seen some games sell for $55.99 so I understand. Remember, this is a store that IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS so it might have been because of some of these things that is why they are digging themsevles out of a hole.

LOL> actually, its more like, fck we havn't paid Sony Microsoft, or NIntendo in months, so they wont send us systems, so quick lets have a sale so we can get cash on hand so we can pay them and actually get stock back into our stores. And yes, that is actually what happened. HOwever, right before the sale started a lot of stores on the east coast got some Ps2s in stock. We did get a visit from the head Sony Rep though last week, which may have something to do with it.
