Ive been using a rechargeable battery pack from MS for a while now, and recently decided to buy some rechargeable energizer battery kits. However I didnt realize that the regular xbox 360 battery pack shell where you put both AA's apparently exploded or something, cause there was white residue left on the inside of the metal and around the inside. Is there a way I can try to clean this, because its not detecting my batteries, but the controller itself works if I hook it up with a USB quick charge cable. Or do I have to buy a new one?

Put rubbing alcohol on a rag or strong paper towel and that should do the trick to clean out the old controller. The controller will always work when you have it plugged into the console.

...Just to make sure you do have the original shell case for the batteries and didn't split open the MS one you had been charging, right?
