View Full Version : If you got a Vanity/Custom License plate, What would it say???

Just driving today, and it got me thinking.
I think the limit in most states is 6 or 7 characters or so, but im not sure.

Mine would say "Foreign" or "Foreign1"

Dont think this has been done, at least recently. Please let me know if it has and we can end this.

i saw a vanity plate the other day that said

3BIGAL or 3 BIG AL...but i read it as 3 BI GAL :shock:

I actually got Vanity plates, I lucked out and alot of my options were avalable but in the end I went with;

This isn't a hypothetical for me. My plate reads: LIVE4SF. I was more active in fandom then but I haven't bothered to change it.

I also have a custome license plate frame that was a birthday gift many years ago. It reads:
I'd rather be...

I tried many others but they didnt work. Many many years ago in playboy they had 2-3 pages of dedicated well thought out license plate names listed. It was interesting to read and look at (due to them showing them on the plates and all)

Also many many years ago when I was 16 my friend and I made custom covers to go over our third brake lights. I had a Taurus and he had a Baretta. Stupid shit is sold all over now wish I would have pattened the idea... Seriously.

Mine read simply Fuc k Off (with no space between c and k)

His was a little diff it read FU Q

Lots of people actually would drive by me and crack up or give me thumbs up.

This one time that I got pulled over by a cop (which happened a lot in that car due to its looks/rims/tint etc).

It just so happened my mother was in the car with me. We were headed somewhere. Anyway the cop asked if she new what it said and she said yeah and "I think its damn funny to". He didnt know what to say... It was great!

Anyway I am off...

Saw an interesting one on the road today:

UN-NSRD - seems like you're asking to be pulled over with that one. The Smoking Gun has a lot of fun articles about this and examples of cancelled plates. Just do a search for "vanity plates" and you'll get some interesting reading. Like the guy with the Florida plate "A55 RGY" - if you know what the FL plate looks like you'll get it.

A woman in my town has an old blue wagon with a plate that says "TUNA".

I'd want to do OUTATIME from Back to the Future, but MA plates can only have 6 characters. Maybe DLREON. :)

My friend had a super hooked up 2002 Honda civic and had the license FIREDUP which is pretty cool since his car was fast and always smoking other peoples.

I don't think I would be able to see that in my rear view mirror or side mirrors. It'll be too small and too shaky to catch that plate joke. But if I'm following you tho, I'll see it as 3M Tab. Which isn't bad.... I guess.

I saw one SUV at my local Fry's a while back that has the custom license frame & plate that reads:


THIS IS HOW I
[LV(hand symbol)JOB] <==== Cali plate that allows hand symbol.
PAY FOR MY TRUCK


I thought that was funny how that plate got pass the DMV approval system.
