I really liked R4 for the PS1. But I believe it had that game as a spcial bonus in R4. I still might pick it up.

The one in R4 only let you race against one other car and only 2 tracks were available (I think). But since it was in high resolution and 60fps (and the old one was there as well), I didn't mind.

I couldn't remember. It's been so long since I played R4. I might have to go find that now...
I bought the original rare big box edition for $4.99 two years ago.

I got mine free as well with my PS. I remember feeling really impressed by it at the time. I'm suprised new copies are still out there.

Ridge Racer Revolution is only $2 preowned on EB's site right now, as well.. is that one any good?

Just slightly-better-in-every-way to the original RR. You have a different track and 2 more secret cars with remixed music.

The 2 best things about Ridge Racer 1, is that you can listen to it in a CD Player. You don't even need to own a PS1/PS2. Music Track #3, Let it hit 'em, (If that's the name.) is the best, to me it is. Second best is the one that goes Kia Kia la la la real shoe. :) Yes, that's probably not what they say, but that's what I got from it. That's the same words they sing in Jet Grind Radio (DC), Sweet Soul Brother, maybe it was. So I thought that was cool. Sweet, sweet, sweet!
Plus it's a fun game too.
And if you do own a PS1/PS2, as everybody already knows, you can pop the game in, take it out after it loads, put in a CD of your own. Although it doesn't play all the songs on the CD you pop in. Still cool though.
And I don't think RRRevolution's music was as good as RR1's.

Cool, but kind of outdated now.
