Final Fantasy Console

Sorry if this is a poor question, but I was wondering in the limited edition final fantasy PS3 console was being released only in Japan or would there be a US release? I've searched online and on the sony forum and didn't see any info. Thanks -

No US release planned thus far. And Japan has seen its share of FF/Square-Enix themed consoles over the years, none of which came over here.

There was a FFXII-themed PS2, a FFXII-themed PS3 (I think I'm wrong about one of those two), Kingdom Hearts-themed PSP, DSi, and even a Game Boy Advance (I owned that one), a FFIV-themed Game Boy Micro...and I'm sure at least a half-dozen others that others will fill you in on.

Like the Wonderswans. ;)

PS3 is region free for games and in the same Blu-Ray region for videos, so you could import the FFXIII console, but you'd risk these two things:

1) the price of importing it
2) Region lock for PSOne games. You can't buy a disc-copy of, say, Final Fantasy VIII and play it on that console. But you could download it from the US PSN Store and play it on that console.

Oh, yes.

Also, there were 150 FF:CC pearl white Gamecubes made several years back. I had one, but sold it for $1500.
