Reformatted and updated:

Here's the video game listings from the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles/Orange County (LA), San Jose/Silicon Valley (SJ), and Washington state (WA) Fry's Ad(s). These prices are valid only for the dates listed in the subject line.

The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - San Diego, Sacramento, Austin, Houston, NV, AZ, OR, IL, GA), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. We have noticed that the Dallas Morning News and SJ Mercury News often run very similar ads. Also, the Chicago ads are often similar to the Seattle ads. However, since these ads are not available online, I cannot confirm them.

If anyone knows of a website to view any further ads, please let me know.

Unless otherwise indicated, items below are listed in all four (DFW, LA, SJ, and WA) ads.

Ad updates:
DFW, LA, WA: Fri-Mon, Weds
SJ: Everyday

LA/OC readers note, the OC Register seems to be transitioning their system...their online posting is messed up right now.

That's a great price on 007: Everything or Nothing. Not too long ago, I paid $40. It an awesome game definitly worth more than 14.99.

James Bond dropped kind of quickly.

A lot of franchises are becoming more like sports games. New versions coming out every year, so they're clearing out the old ones. I still haven't played my EoN, even though I hear it's great.

Is Return of the King more of the same as Two Towers or are there bigger improvements made to it?

I never made it through Two Towers.

Pretty much, it's the same game but improved...also includes online co-op on the PS2 version. That's probably the biggest change.

I bought Kindgdom Under Fire and the Shin Megami strat guide at the Fry's in Woodland Hills.

The guy who rang me up was eating Flamin' Hot Cheetos the whole time he was interacting with me, and he had massive amounts of cheeto dust all over his fingers, which of course was then all over my newly purchased game and guide.

Then, as I started to leave I saw him pass the bag down the line of cashiers and they all started grubbing on cheetos while interacting with customers.

I seriously may never go back to that store.

WTF! I frequent that store all the time, and I'm glad I've never experienced that. If that happened to me, I'd straight call him out on it. That's seriously disgusting.

Not to mention the fact that if I had just paid $20+ for a guidebook I'd want that thing in pristine condition, unsoiled by the cheeto dust covered hands of Fry's employees -a.k.a. "the great unwashed".

At Fry's they make these guys wear slacks and ties - so you know they're serious about the appearance of their employees. If he was eating Cheetos, I'm sure a manager would've done something about it had you talked to one. Probably at least told the employee to stop eating the damn Cheetos.

I was about to tell a manager or floor supervisor or whatever... but just as I started to look around, one came over.... shoved her hand in the bag of cheetos and then shoved the cheetos into her mouth... followed by wiping her hand off... ON HER PANTS.

Fry's has some great deals, but the help leaves a lot to be desired.

The two times I've asked for help from Managers there it has gone badly.

Just asking someone to look in the system for Shin Megami was a NIGHTMARE. I spelled it out for her 16 times (this is not an exaggeration, I counted) and she never, not ONCE got it right.

Then I wrote it down for her on a piece of paper and she still typed it in wrong, which led me to believe that she was either dyslexic and shouldn't be doing the job she had, or she just didn't like me and wanted me to go away.

I thanked her several times and was nice, never rude. She was generally nice to me, but 100% unhelpful.

I could tell Fry's horror stories all day

WOOOOORD!!

I was sitting in my car, using my shirt to wipe off his big, oily thumbprint.

Luckily it came off easily.

But that reminds me. Fry's is the worst for Guides b/c they just throw them onto the game shelves (in Burbank, above the games). The Fry's in BBank had about seven or eight Shin Megami guides and I got the ONLY one that wasn't thrashed. Had to dig all the way to the back and get the one against the wall. It had a small bend on one corner but other than that it was cool.

I hear that. I went to Fry's yesterday to pick up the guide. Every single copy was FUBAR. Uhgggg...

I'd would make some really inappropriate analogy about Fry's being like a sexy whore who looks good in the ads, but is just a sloppy mess once you get in...but I think I just did.
