I have just sold a game on ebay and listed shipping as ups ground 4.99 anywhere in usa. The winner is giveing me a address in italy. Can I refuse at this point to ship? If I have to eat that shipping I would loose money do I have any options?

Is it Italy, New York or Italy Italy? You said $5 anywhere in the United States, not around the world. You're ok, tell him he has to pay more to have it shipped that far away

If you stated 4.99 anywhere in the USA he cant hold you to the 4.99 IMHO.

Yeah just explain the situation and tell them that you will need more money for shipping.

According to the auction, it's "available to united states only".
You can refuse to ship outside or explain the shipping charge will be higher. Furthermore you may choose to further limit payment options.

I hate when International buyers do that, I blocked all non US bidders from my auctions so I don't have to deal with it.

One word of caution if you refuse to accept his bid he might leave negative feedback which takes dealing with ebay for a little bit to get rid of.

Looking at the guy's feedback, he doesn't seem like the type to be unreasonable and give unwarranted feedback, so I don't think you have to worry.
Even if you get a negative, you can post a response.. I'm sure most people will understand the moron-international-buyer situation. Plus you can start a new account, since you don't have much feedback now anyways.

Ebay will let you out of honoring the bid without any penalties, and will refund the final value fees if you dont want to risk it. They actually refund them immediately if the person clearly did not follow your instructions.

UPS ground include free insurance ($100).
Take the package to the PO with the address in Italy . . . get the rates for the various services . . . email him the choices.
