View Full Version : BlazBlue Limited Edition (used) for PS3/360 - $26.99 @ GameStop | YMMV

I picked up a used copy (the only copy) at my local GameStop (Massena, NY). It was the limited edition for the PS3. The discs were in great condition and it was only $26.99. I used my EDGE card and the total was $25.xx! Great price for the LE if you ask me :)
EDIT: According to GameStop.com, both the PS3 and 360 standard editions are $24.99 used, and GS doesn't differentiate their prices between the standard and limited edition. However, my local GameStop had the used copies priced at $26.99, not sure why, buy just saying. $26.99 is still a great deal for the LE if you can find it complete!

That is awesome; totally worth it. Now if only I could walk into a GameStop and find a used Limited Edition of Tales of Vesperia for that price. :p

Remember that the LE has 2 cases in it, so it's just over an inch thick. I almost grabbed the standard edition for $26.99 but then the LE caught my eye at the other end of the rack :)

It'll be YMMV on getting both discs, but even with only one, this is a great price for my favorite fighting game of last year.
Can not freaking WAIT for Continuum Shift.

There's actually 4 discs total. Game disc (Blu-ray), bonus disc (Blu-ray), and the 48-song soundtrack split on 2 CDs.

Why would people return this fantastic game? :/

My nearby Gamestop has the Limited Edition new for $59.99. Worth buying it?

Used show for $24.99, I'm guessing this is a recent drop...or do the LE's sell for a few $ more ? I thought GS didn't differentiate used values...

I saw a used copy of the limited edition at GS when I was returning something. I would have bought it if I didn't already have it. Although the box was in bad condition and the sticker on it was like $40.

I picked up a used complete copy for the :360: for $26.99 w/ EDGE during x-mas. Don't regret it. If you must have sealed copies, they are $50 at Fry's and $60 at some BB's still oh and I guess GS stores..
edit: it's probably safe to update the title to reflect the X360 version too OP :D you can confirm its $29.99 used on the site, any CE will be taken in under regular edition and sold as such..

Title updated. I'd like to note though that at my GS the used was $26.99, not $24.99 like it is at GS.com.

Every GS is going to be 26.99 if you notice it says that the price is Online Only. GS is doing that a lot now for some reason, makes me think either
A) They are trying to drive more online sales
OR
B) They are trying to divert sales from B&M stores so they can close them down

Sweet! Wish there was a way to search for used LE's online. Oh well I'll just call every GS in a 50 mile radius. :)

GS takes special editions as normal games with the exception of a few (not sure which). Good luck calling around cuz you'll be doing that forever. Buy the normal version now and if you even see the collectors edition, buy that one, return the normal one with the collectors edition receipt.

The only one in recent memory that I've seen with separate SKUs for a CE/LE is Bad Company Gold, everything else was the same SKU for normal and SE.

I never saw this game at a Best Buy, employees kept looking at me funny when I asked for this game.

Glad I could help. I'm definitely enjoying the game, though I'm noticing the sprites (characters) just don't look anywhere near as good as the backgrounds do...but still a fun game :)

During my work day I stopped by two GSs and they didn't have any copies used, so I broke down and bought the last new copy for $29.99.
Too bad BB doesn't stock this game because buying a "new" pre-opened game from GS feels the same as buying a used one. And I hate the gunk the "new" sticker left on the case :P
Thanks Op
Thankfully, the stickers (all 5 or 6) peeled off with no residue left over but these were on the LE's box so perhaps that surface helped out?

I did not find any used LE's, only new ones at full price. I did pick up a used regular version though!

I'm not that much into fighting games (was never that good at them), but I'm getting a HORI HRAP EX-SE stick (for old-school and 2D shooters, mainly) and am thinking I ought, then, have a fighter. If you aren't any good at fighting games, is BlazBlue a good choice for a beginner? If not, what should I pick up?

I wouldn't start with BlazBlue... download Marvel vs Capcom 2. Fun, crazy, over the top fighting, known characters, and you don't need as much technical playing ability.

If not, what should I pick up?Street Fighter 4 (and soon, Super SF4) would probably be a better choice for those looking to get into fighters for the first time. Almost everyone has SF2 experience and that experience carries over well into SF4 since it's pretty much a remake. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of depth to SF4, but BlazBlue is aimed much more at the hardcore crowd IMHO.

Went around a 10 mile radius to the ones that had BlazBlue used in stock, found a 360 LE version at the last stop, which also had Blade Dancer, and Ico, and I picked all three up. Wanted PS3 LE which one place had on Sunday, but it was gone when I went in last night.

Got lucky with this. Walked into GS hoping to get Pokemon Mystery Dungeon or Midway Pinball and what did I see, I new looking used copy of BlazBlue LE for $26.99. When I was checking out, one of the employees who was off came in and got upset, guess he wanted it. Glad they don't look out for each other at that GS.

How is this game? I was at a Gamestop today and the had the PS3 version. I have both the 360 and PS3 and assume I should stay away from the 360 version because of the terrible D-PAD?

Get a stick and you'll be fine with either version. They're identical.
Although now that the new version has been revealed, it might just be better to wait.

unless you've picked up one of the million sticks and pads for the 360 that have come out since SFIV, then yeah, you'll want the PS3 version.
when I traded in my copy of BB, I kept all the LE materials...if this goes low enough, I'll make it complete again :)
