it'll drop soon, probably at the beginning of march.

single player games don't seem to stay very high for too long, especially the way the holiday game pricing is starting to drop like a rock.

What makes you think they'll make a sequel (in the US at least)? It's selling poorly according to NPD.

It's actually Sega's second best selling title of the last nine months, after Mario and Sonic at the Winter Games or whatever. Something like 1.1 million copies, which ain't bad, for ... six weeks? Anyway, I don't think the OP was actually asking about a sequel; I think he just left the words "sale" and "on" out of his thread title.

Where are you getting that figure from? VGChartz, which is rarely accurate (yet not far off), reports 440k copies sold. They're usually on the high side. Another user in the NPD thread reports less than 150k copies sold.

That's actually *not* the article I read, though both were reporting on the same info. I guess the 1.1 mil are the Japanese numbers (which corrects what I said about "Jan. 5 to now") from Oct. 29 to the end of December '09, and the c. 440k are just the US numbers from Jan. 5 to now. That puts it at 1.5 mil so far, which ain't bad. Any idea what the European numbers are like?

I still think that if it doesn't do a mil in America, a sequel might never see the light of day over here. Plenty of games sell well in Japan and never get released over here.

To answer the OP. It will be a while before you saw a sequel. I'd say a minimum of 1-1.5 years.
