As far as I know they do. I have a launch system that does so that is what I am basing my opinion on.

All US DCs came with 56k modems. IIRC, Japanese models just came with a placeholder, and you could purchase a 33.6k modem separately.

Yep, 56k. They made a few broadband modems to buy seperately, but i think theyre rare and expensive. At least they used to be.

Those DC broadband adapters go for $100.00 + on eBay and they only work with the DC web browser 3.0, which BTW is also rare and pricey. I guess some people like to surf the net with their DC's.

I'm pretty sure Japanese DCs came with the 33.6, and Asian DCs came with the placeholder.

Yeah, when I was looking up some DC stuff on a forum, one of the "hardcore" posters there apparently posts and does all his internet business on his Dreamcast.

If there's 1,000 people to preorder, you can get them for $50 here.

Thanks for the tip, Kuma.

I remember when I used to do alot of business travelling, I took my DC with me so I could surf the internet in my hotel room. All I had to do was make sure my hotel had free local calls and my ISP had a local dialup number and BAM! no need to go to a internet cafe to check my email and stuff. I was way too much of a cheapass to buy something like a laptop.
