People are using the spoiler tags to redirect you to another site in a new window when you click on the button. For example, this post:
He's not going to be around for the next few days. His mama died.
I hope he doesn't kick my ass for saying that. (http://www.pcgamingsucks.com)
It sends you to a bullshit site with a bunch of advertising. It could easily be a page serving up malware or goatse.

It's an inside OTT joke, and it used to be a legit site. It wasn't re-upped so it just goes to a generic godaddy site.
I'm pretty sure godaddy is a CAG sponsor/affiliate so I doubt you'll be getting any malware from them.
The spoiler has never been linked to anything but that site, pcgamingsucks.com.

The point is you can link it to anywhere see (http://www.google.com) and some people might not know it's a link.
Pretty sure the filters would still block out the bad sites like bit. ly maybe (http://$$$$$$$), but it still could be abused somehow.
