Are there any good ones? Ipods are nice but they're too pricey for me.

I still think iPods are the best players on the market. 15 GB refurbished ones from the last generations should be under $200.

Almost everybody recommends the iRiver iHP (either 20 or 40 gig model). Everything packed in, top of the line. I'll pick one up eventually...

Is there any 5 GB MP3's under 150? I don't really need anything higher than 10 GB. I know that the Dell DJ was 124 once with coupon, about 150 after taxes and shipping, but I missed that.

Outside of the Ipod mini there dosent seem to be many new players at all below 10 gb that arnt 128 or 256mb.

Dont ask me what brand this is, but it is cheap. ($150)

I also just saw a bunch of Ipod 10gb for like $120 on ebay with BIN but I dont have the link anymore because the forum went down just as I found it and I lost it in the 5 minutes I was waiting for it to com back up.

Do NOT, however cheap it may seem, buy the 10gb RCA Lyra, because it crashes just by looking at it crooked and it;s only just slighty decent as a portable HD but I hardly even trust it for that...also it;s as heavy as a brick. if someone ever offers to sell you one, smack them in the face and never speak to them again.

Outpost had the Zen Xtra 40GB for $210 the other day. Not sure if it's still on sale.

The new Rio got rave reviews from PCmag. It's smaller than a mini, better for athletics, and has an extra gig of storage.

But it'll still cost you around $200-$215.

imagine that I quoted my own post... damn 56k.... anyway strike what I said about ebay, I just found the link again and they were actually from the UK, so its more like $220.

my friend who's the biggest loser and just spends all day looking for free money "scams" actually showed us all up (me and my friends) when he brought us a box filled with 7 new ipods all in their box unopened. what really pissed us off was when he told us he got them for free. anyway its freeipods.com. its actually a legitamate site that u can find in the better business bureau, its quite unbelievable that not that many people know about it. i'm on a list right now but am too lazy to complete a free offer right now, but i shall get it done in the next 2 weeks.

Dell Digital Jukebox is the way to go.
Also, the only iPod worth getting is the newest gen, the fourth gen. The other ones have terrible battery life and everything.
Regardless, get a Dell DJ.

if you can afford it get an iRiver iHP-120/H120 but other than that get a creative Zen Xtra

call your bb and check to see if they have any iriver 120`s in stock. I got one last week for 230 total. Most review sites will tell you its almost equal to the ipod and it comes with everything you need. Remote, case, everything. Hurry though i got mine a week ago and they were on clearence. Best purchase i have ever made. Great device.

i wouldnt get the xtra sposed to have horrible controls. Every thing els in hizar looks fo shizzle. I also want to point out that the zen touch is posed to be a pretty good player. I myself am watching the Zen micro and may get that when it comes out (i pod mini rip off). Also if you dont know the dell djs that they are selling now are a 2nd generation and just came out a few days ago, this is at the dell site in home and office store. They also have the dell pocket dj for $200 and that looks pretty cool.

yea, before you shell out all of that money, try getting a free one. it might be a pain in the ass but you can get other mp3 players free. Like Rio Carbon, Ipod, or this IRIVer one. if you are not in a giant hurry try getting a free one. Might as well try. Right??

I have had in iRiver H120 for a few months now. It sounds awesome, has a very long battery life, plays many file formats, needs no proprietary software, and inclues a ton of nice extras (internal fm radio, internal mic, external mic, remote, leather case...). In case you can't tell, I love it. :D
