View Full Version : Will Halo 2 include a free LIVE trial?
I'm just wondering because I don't currently have Live. I'm planning on picking up Halo 2 on release day, but I'd much rather spend 25 bucks on a headset and use the free trial that comes with the game rather than dropping 70 on the starter kit.

More than likely. Seeing as MS is pushing it as THE Live game to play this season, I don't see why they'd pass up the oppurtunity. It's like dealing drugs. A taste is free, then jack up the price once you're hooked.

I'd go so far as to bet that some CE's (or maybe ALL CE's) would include a 12 month trial.. that would be awesome.

I've had an insane streak of luck lately. I got a letter from GS the other day informing me that I had "unclaimed property." I called them up and found out it was my tax refund from two years ago, $170. They never sent it to me, and somehow, I never noticed. :lol:
I'm seriously afraid that some kind of karmic balance is gonna kick my ass sooner or later. I don't know what will happen.
Maybe I'll be crushed by a refrigerator. :fridge:

Well I was looking at prices today and it looks like it would be better for me to pay 5 or 10 bucks more and just get the 3-month starter kit along with H2

I'm almost positive it will include the 2 month trial, but i honestly wish it didn't. The sheer magnitude of dingleberries lacking mics and with no regard for their live namesake for those first 2 months will really leave a terrible vacuum of suckyness across the board.
Exactly January 9th that whole lot will mysteriously disappear. Thankfully we have clans for keeping the good games with good players rolling.

Anyways, a 2 month free trial would be helpfull for me so I can be in 2 clans at once with a second account. Being restricted to one clan is kinda tough for me since I really want to play alot of clan matches with Halo 2.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to have the option to be in 2 different clans, too many people would take advantage of it and "smurf" during competition play.
