No Need to Cut off the UPC to get $20 Rebate

When you Unseal the shrink wrap makesure slowly Pull off the "White sticker w/ name & UPC" on top of the game case then place it on mail in Rebate form.

Good deal, but just a warning, my rebates for Fight Night 2004, MLB Baseball 2004, and the Simpons Series purchased from a Fye affialiate have been processing for 3 months now. You will get the money eventually, hopefully but who knows when. So if you need the money then dont buy this.

I JUST got my $30 rebate on MVP Baseball yesterday; my $10 rebate on Simpsons Season 4 came about 2 weeks ago. FYE gives themselves 3 months to get the check in the mail - expect to wait the full 3 months.

On the plus side, they did respond quickly (and accurately) to my follow-up questions over email.

I've gotten about 10 rebates from FYE without cutting boxes on various movies/games. For one of them, a GBA SP, they actually initially denied me but I called the rebate center and told them a FYE clerk said it was ok to use the sticker/upc. They validated the rebate then and I got it. Cutting out is blasphemy!

I think I had my fill of GTA when GTA III came out on the PS2. I tried to play Vice City and I found it to be boring. I really have no desire to play San Andreas. Am I the only one that has had my fill of GTA. With Halo on the horizon, this seems like a waste of money to me.

I will give GTA III its props that it was a revolutionary title, but that was several years ago. Been there / Done that

I kinda agree . . . I loved GTA III . . . it totally blew me away.

I was basically disappointed by Vice City but still enjoyed the wide open city environments . . . controlling the big army helicopter was great.

When San Andreas came into focus I had no interest . . . LA and Hip hop . . . but I've kinda warmed up to it since . . .

To me these are less games and more entertainment experiences . . . the soundtrack and humor . . . kinda like watching an interactive movie with game play elements.

I hate rebates. How many times have you sent in a rebate and never receive the check. I bet you it more than 50%. Why can't they just give you the discount right away. They lie and say they never received your rebate information. I highly believe that. I will never do rebates again. There too much of a hassle

Is this deal good in-store? The rebate form online says you need an "fye.com order confirmation and packing slip" but I'm wondering if they have a separate rebate form for in-store. If so, I will cancel my internet order and get it in-store so I don't have to wait for the game to be shipped. Who knows how long their free shipping will take. I can't wait for this game!

Of the 6 mail in rebates I sent in for Comp USA deals in the last 3 years, I got back 4. That's a 1/3 failure rate. Definitely enough for me to not count on them anymore. I'll still buy stuff with a mail-in rebate, but only if I'm willing to buy it at the price before rebates. If I get the money back, it's just a bonus.

Yeah i remember bringing this point up some time back. Anyway when i saw it was "Pending" and "Back Ordered" on the 24th, i quickly canceled my order. They probobly wouldve just sent it with the second batch of shipments maybe on 11/08, who knows.

I canceled and snagged it at TRU (roughly $33.33 on their 2 for 1 deal). Even if you went with Best Buy you couldn't have gone wrong because with a solid quality $20 GH game; you were basically just paying $35 for GTA.

Nowhere on the rebate form does it say u have 2 buy "both products". I don't even know what this means, but the form states you get a $20 rebate when buying GTA: SA. It doesn't say anything about buying anything else. I have done 3 FYE rebates in the last few months and their rebate forms always cleary spell out what you need to buy in order to get the rebate, like the "$30 rebate on a Gamecube or GBA SP when you buy a game $14.99 or above" a few months ago.
