sure can.
All you have to do is make a folder to store them in.
You cannot save directly to the hard drive so you still need a memory card, but all you have to do is transfer the data between the hard drive and memory card.

A few, I believe the ESPN sports games this year, allow you to save straight to the HDD. I think he might've filled by saving to the MC and transfering it over.

Anywho, 2 Mem cards are more then enough, especially for someone who'll only trully use 1 whole card (he seldom plays any games, at all).
