help with PoP

I cant access any gaming sites to get some info on this so maybe someone can help me or cut and past the protion of a walkthrough or something that has this part.

I cannot beat the sand jerks attacking the girl after I go back to meet her in the lobby. I can kill loads of the normal ones but cant really hit the bigger blue guy.

What am I supposed to do here, I have a feeling im totally missing something. Im very frustrated.

That reminds me, I really need to finish this game. I've had it for about 7 months and I'm only 13% through it. Just too many other games.

don't try to jump any thing wearing blue!. I used the wall jump to kill them. Run to a wall and hit the attack button. Prive will jump off the wall and stab them. Just keep figting them eventually you'll get to move on. Wait till the end one battle takes about two hours. The elevator battle!

Exactly what he said. They easily knock you back if you try to jump over. Use only wall attacks on them, as it spells almost instant death to them. Just keep doing that, and after a while it's over.

I dont think the other wise guys have played pop, otherwise they mightve noticed you cant jump over them and hit them. :roll:

Maybe its just a longer process than I had thought. The other guys are no problem but that one bigger blue guy, it doesnt seem like I can really hit him. Ill try attacking him from the wall.

That's the one downfall in the game, the long repetative battles. If you think this is tough, wait for the elevator one. Hockey isn't exagerrating by much.

If that dosn't work. Wait till he attcks. Then dodge left or right then attack you'll get a few hits in. If you get him down use the little sword to steal his soul. that puts em down and keeps them that way. Or use you litte sword to make him turn to sand them to a double coubo with the big one. Prince will cut him in half and you can kill some like that

I didn't see the water fountains I beat all oif them with out gdting any water till the battle was over! Then i was like damin there are water fountains here! I played that fight at least 40 times!

I let someone borrow my copy right after I bought it (before I had even started playing) and by the time I got it back I was too busy with other games.

I preordered Warrior Within though, so I'd better get started on that one soon.

yea, its not the normal guys those guys are fairly easy.
they are all big but the one looks different, he blocks everything, and is noticeably bigger than the other bigger guys. I got sick of not being able to do much damage to him.

anyway, the game is fun so far, it has good style and good presentation.

I just checked a Gamefaqs walkthough (http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/file/prince_of_persia_sot.txt), and according to it you jump jump over him over and over again until he dies. If you want to read that part of the walkthough hit ctrl+F and type in 6.7 A Booby-Trapped Courtyard. Its in the last paragraph of that part.

I also had to try a few times but if you're sand bar is full, you can stop time completely and slice one after another, looks great and make you feel even better!

Good use of the dagger to freeze enemies really helps.

Yeah, the guy you are talking about is your father. He is probably the hardest thing to kill in the game. Just play it safe and kill off all of his buddies. Then, wait for him to do a big attack (if he winds up to do his sweep, get the hell away), and then wail on him for a bit.

Can I actually kill enough of those guys that they dont respawn?
I had assumed they will keep respawning for th elength of the fight.

I finished PoP awhile ago, so my memory is a little hazy, but I think there's only so many respawns before they're gone and you're left to face your father alone. When that happens, just jump over him constantly and don't give him a chance to strike back. Its absurbedly simple, actually. His minions are much harder.
