Sold Pokemon Bonus disc (GC) for $40 a few weeks ago.

I saw the MK:Deception BONUS DISC (just the bonus disc) go for $30. This was for XBOX
That is CRAZY. Why wouldn't someone just pay the extra $30 and get the whole game (even though it does suck)

I sold a USED copy (it was in perfect condition, but I listed it as used because I am an honest person, unlike some people) of the Greatest Hits version of Final Fantasy X on ebay for $22.50.
I got it NEW at ebgames for $12.50.
That an $8.65 profit, because I offered free shipping (media mail, $1.35).

I was a moron with shipping earlier I would always do priority and I would lose money. Now I bought a box of bubble mailers and I ship first class and spend like a third of the price. I'm thinking of dropping my shipping to $2 and see if it helps my sales.

why do people pay 20-30 for the Promo yu gi oh cards you get for free in the games?? This is the only reason i buy the Yu gi oh stuff By the time you dump the cards your only paying Free to 10 bucks for the GBA and 20-30 for the PS2s

The craziest auction I have seen in the last year was the S controller from the Halo X-Box bundle going for $60

Yep, and 1st class gets there just as fast (maybe one day later) than priority would anyway. I think when you're mailing just one game 1st class is the way to go. It's a wee bit more than media, but a lot faster. (Especially if you're mailing right to left coast.)
And as far as dropping shipping to $2... Just my opinion, but I don't think some eBay buyers really take into account the S&H charge when they decide on their total bid. If it's crazy high they will, but I don't know if charging $2 or $ 4 will make a difference in the final amount. If you do try $2 S&H, I'd definitely highlight that in the item title, that might work by bringing more cheap ass eBayers into your auction.

i sold that GT4 demo disk from for the ps2 (the one toyota was giving out.. everyone wanted, no one could get..) for 20 bucks on ebay! purrrree profffiiitt, hell, i dont even own a ps2!

I think I only got $10 for my GT4 promo disc.
I see the GREEN Halo S-Controller going for anywhere between $35-$60. That's crazy. I would sell mine if I knew I could get around $50 for it. I prefer the big controller anyways. However, I only have 3 and if I sold that, it would be two.

Alot of bidders calculate the shipping cost into their bids. So either way the final price is roughly the same with either a high shipping cost or low shipping cost.
Ex. If an item has a shipping cost of $2.00 the final bid would be roughly 13.00 = total of $15.00 shipped. If an item has a shipping cost of $5.00, the final bid would be $10.00 = total of $15.00 shipped.
As a seller on ebay i prefer to list the shipping at a higher price, around $5.00 That way i can save a few cents off ebay's final bid fee and the buyer would get the same deal as someone having a lower shipping price but a higher ending bid.

I'm the same way, but some people freak out when they see the shipping on a game listed as $5... I don't enjoy making special trips to the post office to ship the day after payment but I do anyway; I believe this extra effort warrants the extra $1.15 I charge on shipping (normaly 3.85). Another thing that really pees me off is when I ship overseas I charge like $6 for the ENTIRE world, but everytime someone from Canada wins one of my auctions they bitch when they see that the usps label says $4 shipping... (the don't take in to consideration that I had to buy the bubble mailer as well) These complaints are part of the reason that my auctions are far and few between... For those people that bitch about sellers overcharging for shipping, bid less to make up for the higher shipping costs! Duh!
edit: The only less that stellar feedback I have on ebay (a neutral) was a guy who saw $3.85 on the shipping label on the priority mail box after having been charged $5 for shipping... by bidding on an auction you agree to all of the clearly stated cost assosiated with the auction... If I say in my auction that I'm going to charge a "take a dump" fee because I want to take a dump on the way to the post office, bidders should accept it and then decide wheather to bid or not to bid...

I sold a bundle of 10 Japanese Dreamcast games for $85, they included Ferrari F355, Climax Landers, SFA3, Cool Borders, Gundam, etc. I rarely played them anymore, and was happy with the deal.

I got rid of some of that shipping headache by just not mailing to anybody outside the continental us. I state that right in my description the few extra buck the extra bidders might bring is not worth the headache

Whether the buyer is verified or not on PayPal doesn't make any difference as far as the fee, AFAIK. If you have an upgraded account you pay a fee for every transfer in (and you can accept CCs) if you just have a personal account you don't pay any fees for money in (but you can't accept CCs).
Unless I don't understand what you're saying?

I usually charge $5 for shipping as well, $6 to Canada, $10 to Europe and South America, and $12 to Australia. I clearly state the shipping costs in the auction and for the most part have not had any complaints, but I do ship next day most of the time as well. I did have one guy from Canada who flipped when he saw that I charged him $6 but the shipping label only said $3.5 (he demanded a full refund).

Unless it's international. I sold a game to a guy in Britain, single GC title, and it cost $20 to ship.

although this topic could lead to various discussions, considering that you can check completed auctions on ebay, we really don't need this just to know what the going rate is for, since, uh, you can do that there, with many more examples.
either way, here's a few of my recent auctions involving video games, and the prices they closed at:
-confidential mission (dreamcast, used) - 12.01
-la pucelle tactics (ps2, new/sealed) - 33.99 (ended with BIN)
-sword of the berserk (dreamcast, new/sealed) - 15.50
-prince of persia: sands of time (xbox, used) - 13.99 (ended with BIN)
-futurama (xbox, new/sealed) - 16.99 (ended with BIN)
interesting thing on the prince of persia game is that i bought it at the toys r us green tag sale, and i disliked it (call me crazy), so i sold it used, and actually made some money on it, which was pretty cool.
Yeah, selling a game I've played out for a profit is always pretty cool. Happens a lot when you're routinely picking up games for $5-10 :)
Oh, and you're crazy for disliking PoP ;) Seriously though I loved that game. Great animation, good storyline/cutscenes, neat puzzles, good battles, and a really really great job of staying faithful to the classic while truly bringing it into a modern 3D game.
