The Menards chain is predominently in the midwest, as far as I know.
To my surprise yesterday, I walked in and, as soon as you get in the door, they had TONS of them.
I was only looking at XBox stuff myself, but they had some pretty decent deals like Fight Night 2004 (all games at $18) which I haven't seen this cheap anywhere else yet.
If you're looking to beef up your collection, they also had a lot of older titles you don't see around typically like Apex, Kung Fu Chaos, Wakeboarding Unleashed and the like.
All games are new and sealed and they had a good selection for all three systems.
Just something to think about if you're going game hunting.

Ya, they've sold PC games for quite some time, but never video games.
Trying to capitalize on the holiday buying season, I guess.

Haven't seen a Menards TV ad in a while. The white-haired guy with the square-rimmed glasses.
I haven't been to Menards in quite some time. To think they are selling video games?! Wow. I will be driving over there tomorrow...

I believe they are only in the midwest, as someone above posted. I've seen a few here in Illinois, the closest one being right down the street from me.

Hey cavalier, where did you see Apex? What Menard's was it at? I've been DYING to score a new copy of Apex. I had it in my hands during the CC blowout this summer, but I didn't buy it -- I didn't know it was $5. :(
I called some local Menard's here in NW suburbs IL, and it appears that only our largest stores carry videogames. I went to the Menard's in Mount Prospect on Rand Road, and alas, no Apex. I was bummed. This is the only store in my area that carries games.
All games are 18.99, and they had Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube. The majority of the titles I saw were cheaper elsewhere. Nothing really stood out to me -- I saw 2 copies of Transformers (but it's readily available for 19.99 everyehere else), one copy of Beyond Good and Evil for PS2, that Space Invaders ripoff "Space Raiders" for Gamecube, Taz, Wakeboarding, Prisoner of War, Harry Potter, old baseball games, Jeaporady/Wheel of Fortune, Megaman Transmission, LoTR:ROTK for GC, Whiplash, Superman, and the like.
I got Apex for $10 new at EB - check there first if you can. Its worth the price. The Kung Fu Chaos demo i've played was fun IMO.

I've always seen PS1 and PC games at Menards, but they were all shit. I'll have to check this out though.

I saw them at the Menards in Onalaska, WI this past Saturday. Most of the games are of the bargain bin variety. They aren't that good of a deal at $19 in my opinion. It's seems more like a regular price.
They had about 20 feet of PS2 games and the Xbox and GC games were together on an end. I dug through them all and didn't see anything worthwhile. I know I didn't see Fight Night 2004 so the selection is probably YMMV.

Um, it's $18 ($19 at my location) games only. The emoticon should be an 8.

Fellow CAG'er, just went to the Onalaska Menards myself. Nothing of interest, but nice to see a fellow member in the area.

To clear it up, none of the games are a dollar. The OP put a 1, an 8 and a ) next to each other and it made 18). It's supposed to be $18.

now this is interestingI never knew Menards carried games, since it's been so long I've been there. I actually have a few friends who work there, so I may call them up and ask.

Wow, this is interesting. I work at Menards as a receiving clerk so if we get something in, I'm usually one of the first to know. It doesn't help that I work at one of the smallest stores in the entire chain (Marshalltown, IA) oh well...

For the heck of it, I noted some of the titles that I saw at the Racine Menards . . . this is probably about 2/3 of the non-sport titles that were there. First time I've seen Malice!
At $5 these would be cool . . . at $10 there would be some finds . . . at $19 NOTHING was worth buying.
They will probably move a bunch of these to the non-CAG gamers . . . (I actually saw a kid and his mom buying Tony Hawk U 2 for $50 at Target! . . . do people really do this!?).
On the positive, they are likely to discount these at some point, plus Menards loves rebates . . . Next January I bet remainders could be free via rebate . . .
