Nothing against you Mousin, but Moxio should be the Mag topic monitor. He constantly finds deals and updates.

10-21-2004, 11:47 PM
if you want him to be monitor, tell cheapy that. i would be glad to give up my seat. i havent offered you guys 1 magazine offer, but doesnt mean ima take all the credit for it. hell im not takeing any, ill put names in front of the offers.

Hey guys, it's okay that mousin moderates the thread. I'm only here to post free magazine deals; I'm not necessarily special enough to take control.
Thanks.
CheapyD

It has nothing to do with special.
mousin asked and I said yes. As I am sure you guys know, I don't really visit this thread anymore (my mailbox is pretty small) so I really don't know what goes on in here.
Moxio, you are certainly welcome (and encouraged) to head up vol. 3 of this thread, when the time comes.
Thanks.

You have to give them an email address and a name of a male teenager, I just made up a name and gave them one of my alternate email addresses, supposedly the person you put email address down has to fill out a small survey for you to get the mag, I am waiting for the email to see what that involves.

Buy Nov or Dec issue off the newstands. Use the "give Pboy as a gift" cards in there. Its like $15 a year (1/2 off reg) Its the cheapest playboy gets ever (I should know, between my dad and I we've been subscribers since the late 70s)

A better way to handle this is enjoy the mags and take the 3rd notice of the bill and write "thanks for the free issues . . . I'm not interested in subscribing at this time."
You could do this with the Playboy offer above . . . you might get a third issue before they halt your delivery.

You can get a "free" GMR sub at ebgames if you trade in one game . . .
Free 12 month GMR subscription with trade-in Expires 11/27/2004
Trade-in 1 select pre-played PS2/XB/GC game and get GMR 12 MONTH SUBSCRIPTION for free. Game boxes and instructions are required. Some titles are excluded from trade. May not be combined with any other offer or discount.
I'll dump off a $5 game to continue my sub . . . a $15 value.
Here is the exclusion list:

I agree on the magazine-deal-only posting rule. At least if there's a post here, it should involve magazines in some way (based on the title). Damn-it, now I gotta post a deal.

EGM (and XBN sotra)
If you go to EB, they have a subscription card to 12 free issues to Xbox Nation and Electronic Gaming Monthly. The XBN card is should be near the counter, the EGM card was in this weird envelope that they hand out to you if you buy one of their "holiday bundle packs", but just ask for the envelope. The EGM card has a link to a free digital sub instead of print, course you can change it through customer service.

Sorry to bug. I am having a heck of a time trying to get ziff davis to change my subscriptions from digital to print. I called ziff davis 3 times over the last 2 months and they can never find my susbscriptions... I am now trying directly e-mailing Pc magazine and EGM at this moment. They are quick to respond but still tehy can't find them either. With my last e-mail to them I included the e-mails I recieved saying download your issue here.
Any further ideas if this leads to no avail

This is only good if your account is on their database but... i have (actually had) the same problem you have. Go to http://www.zdmcirc.com/service/index.html click on your magazine type in your info (email or last name + zip code) and on the next page click on "Other Questions" (its on the left) and then type in your request to change from digital to print. I just did this yesterday for pc mag and computer shopper. They repied today saying next issue will be in print. :D Good luck.

The Holiday 2004 issue is the issue people will be getting within the next week or so. It might take a few more weeks for you to get the issues, since you just switched to print. If you do get the december issue(it have Halo 2 on the cover), then you should get the Holiday 2004 issue soon after that.

As for Playboy, I got a card in the mail a couple weeks ago offering me a year's subscription for $12, along with a free DVD after the subscription's paid for. So even though it's not free, $1 an issue is a pretty good deal, so I should be getting Playboy soon.

Im sure those "bills" aren't really bills.
As long as you didn't give them any credit card or other billing info, and the subscription was free, it won't affect your credit rating at all.
I get those letters too, and it looks like a bill, but it's just an invoice to lure me to buy a sub.

I finally got the EGM site to work right but now my subscription has been rolled back to the end of 2006. I know it was closer to 2011 when I last checked before the problem started. I emailed them tonight but I doubt they will fix it. Maybe you guys should check yours too...
I'm sorry I haven't been around, but here's my compensation- a plethora of magazines!
EGM:
https://www.zdmcirc.com/zdmcirc/promo/eb/
This offer is for the digital subscription, just to clear it up.When will be the soonest that I can make sure that my subscription stays to print. In other words, will I have to get 1 issue as digital before I can switch it back to print?

Contact them the next day, I noticed mine was suspended the next day cause they were switching it over. But I emailed them about and kept it as print. But they got rid of the digital offer, so if you don't want digital, don't even bother with the link.

Just a forewarning about the free subscriptions to places like EGM. I have had problems with my account as of late and have been emailing EGM's customer service. I have lost about 6-7 years off of my subscription in the last week or so. Customer service did some digging and found out that some of the free subscriptions have been canceled by the agency that has been in charge of these. Customer service can not get any replies from the agency regarding the matter so they had to adjust my subscription. It was a place in Clearwater Fl so who knows whats going on. I thought I would let everyone know...

Hey guys,
To whoever had a free sub to USA Today, did you receive a bill from them? I got one and I'm not even sure whether it's an actual bill or not.
EDIT: Hmm..doesn't look like it much anymore...Since I didn't give them my CC number or anything, should I ignore it or write "Cancel" on it and send it back?

In the last thread, there was an offer for a free subscription (I don't remember the mags but I know Maxim was one of them) if you signed up for Xposed.com's online newsletter. The following was posted in their recent newsletter, and I figured I'd post it here for anyone who signed up for that.
Our Free Magazine Subscription Offer Update!
Due to unforeseen technical difficulties submitting new magazine subscriptions to publishers there will be an additional delay. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks to receive your first magazine in the mail.
Sorry about this glitch, we're making those responsible pay - they won't be able to look at the Xposed Girls section until all orders are filled!

They have a disk in EGM? Maybe you should call them and tell them you want a disk, but I would guess that you would have to pay extra.

Playboys come in a black plastic wrapper, at least thats what I hear....
Mine always do but my bud told me his came in the mail yesterday without the black polybag. I told him either the mailman took it off or his stupid gf ( my stupid sister  ) took it off and lied to him about it. Seeing as how he said the mag was dry and the mailbox full of water, I wonder...

yes, the PB came with the black bag. it only covers the front. the back is just white plastic. BTW, Denise Richards is on the cover.
QUIT POSTING FREEBIZMAG
we know about the site.
Its reasons like this that I cut back on posting here as much. I take the time to try to do something nice, and an asshat like you has to ruin things. I greatly appreciate trustcompany, trakan, and floormat for coming to my defense.

You call me an asshat? You sit on one site and do busy work that anyone else could be doing. How about some real deals that don't require lying about jobs for 90% of us?
