Never heard of different versions. No idea what that would be. But then again, i try not to use cheats/cheat devices.

Why dont you just try both? see which one works?

I'm not sure if they're different versions or not, but today I saw Super Mario Sunshine with two different spines. One had the regular spine with the black lines on a white background. The other I never saw before had an entirely black spine with Super Mario Sunshine in white lettering.

Where did you see that? And have you only seen one of them? (curious)

I think that Mario box he saw could be bootleg or possibly a store-brand label of a PO version, or something.

Melee has a couple versions releases of it, you can tell by looking at the rim on the inside of the shiny side.(I think I'll post again soon once I know for sure) There are little numbers there that tell you which version. One change is the newer versions like player's choice yellow boxes don't have the eye inside Daisy's head. I'll post again with a better breakdown soon.

*EDIT* I couldn't find any more information, sorry.

Intresting. Perhaps someday info on the different versions of SSB:M will be as well know as the different versions of OoT.

I've heard there's a version 1.1 release of Metroid Prime as well. Don't know what it does or how you can tell.

a quick google search yielded the following quote from a message board. Whether this guy knows what he's talking about is arguable.

"Well, I think it's more like Metroid Prime 1.1, because they did minor adjustments and added minor stuff. I remember reading somewhere that they toned down the annoying beeping sound when your health is low. Plus, I believe they added a voice for something, I think it's when the visor says there's a new area detected or something of the sort."

Apparenlty it was released in Europe only, which may explain why action replay acknoleges it's existence.

I've seen the same, possibly the "Not for resale" version pack-in they once had, and the other could be a regular retail version. Mine has the lines and is the "Not for resale" pack-in, at least I believe. Anyone else can comment?

I always thought that ment PC versions were the revised versions. After looking at the list I guess thats not right either.

I remember reasding that metroid prime had a bug that made it crash and that they'd fixed it in a new version. Probably similar things in the others perhaps....

Glad I'm not the only one who's seen one. But if I ever do see another, I'll make sure to get some pics.

I always thought it refered to the Action Replay version that the code works with. They never revised the code list, just added new ones that were specific to version 1.1 of the action replay version. I'm pretty sure that's the way it worked with Gameshark before they changed hands.
