Ok so I've had my cube for a very short period of time and I have beaten Zelda. However I just got 4 cube games at TRU and now need to pick which to start playing:
Pikmin
Super Mario Sunshine
Starfox Adventures
F Zero
Metroid
I've never played any of these games and was just wondering what would be a good choice to play first!
(damn i wish TRU would have had Viewtiful Joe!)

Metroid, without question.

Starfox is total crap, F-Zero is good stuff, and Mario is a little boring.

Yeah I've been looking for Eternal Darkness but can't seem to find it anywhere. I prefer new, anyone know where I can pick this up for cheap?

If your K-Mart has it, it's only 5 bucks new.

I believe it was part of the TRU 50% off sale. If not, Gamestop has it used for $13.

The problem for me is, if I have K-Mart, which I don't. :(

Mario Sunshine is awesome. But I am convinced that I am the ONLY person who thinks MP is a bad game.

Don't feel bad I think I am the only one on these boards who thinks Eternal Darkness is a steaming pile of crap, not worth 3 dollars to me.

Sunshine is great.

Starfox was a good, pretty standard Zelda style game. No real surprises. You may want to avoid playing it right after Zelda since you have already played through Zelda, which is a better use of the formula. Still one of the best looking games on the Cube, though.

FZero is great, only if you appreciate a challenge. A really, really big challenge.

Metroid is amazing. If you've played any of the previous Metroids, you should have bought this yesterday. AMAZING.

Pikmin was clever, but I never really got into it.

==============

1) Metriod
2) Sunshine
3) FZero
4) Starfox
5) Pikmin

Yep, this dude knows what hes talking about, though I've never played Pikmin so I don't know about it. F-Zero is incredibly hard, but it gives you a great sense of accomplishment when you beat any level on story mode!!!

I'd keep Metroid Prime first, but bump Pikmin up to the number two spot. Super Mario Sunshine is okay and fun for a while, but it's missing that certain something that would otherwise keep you playing to the end. I've only played Starfox briefly. Very pretty. Not much fun. F-Zero is too damn hard and in the end is just another racing game. Pikmin is not without its flaws (the arbitrary 30 minute days, primarily), but I guarantee it's like nothing you've ever played before. Graphics are still some of the best on the system and it's really a well-designed game. Just picked up the sequel yesterday in the TRU madness (no more 30 minute days!), but haven't played it yet.

(note, I haen't played Starfox Adventures). I'd say the best game out of the 4 is Metroid. But, if you like racing games and a challenge, F-Zero is an awesome game.

SMS gets a bad rap, being the sequal to one of the gods of gaming (Mario 64). Sunshine is a solid platforming game, just don't go in expecting the greatest experience ever, and you'll get a pleasent surprise.

I'm with you man, I also think it's awful. I LOVE all of the other metroid games, but not Prime.

Definitely Metroid first, its one of the best games this gen IMO. Next would be Pikmin, its a unique a fun strategy game. I haven't played F-zero yet. Mario Sunshine and Star Fox are both okay, Mario is better though. Mario seemed to be missing something after Mario 64, and i didn't like the water pack. Star Fox has its moments but sometimes it just feels stupid and generic.

You're not alone on this one — that game was the same thing over and over again, just with different characters. Great cinematics, though.

Play Metroid Prime first... it's one of the best games ever made.

Then, play Mario Sunshine because if you're new to the Cube, you HAVE to play a Mario game.

Then, take the rest of your games to EB or Gamestop and trade in for Resident Evil remake or Viewtiful Joe.

okay, so has anybody realized that there are 5 games, not 4? Just wondering...

oh yeah...i can't give an honest opinion on which to play first, as i have only played metroid prime and sunshine...

Definitely play MP first, I have F-zero, sunshine, and MP and I must say MP is my favorite of the three. It made me hug my cube. Play it, beat it, love it then go buy the second one. And don't give up if you can't get into it at first- give it some time. It grows on you, and you slowly begin to appreciate its greatness.

Metroid is the best, and I never even finished it.

I'd go with the general consensus and say Metroid Prime. It is one of the best games this generation if not the best since it is a prime (no pun intended) example of how to transfer an amazing 2d adventure game to 3d. Than go for F-Zero. I recenlty picked this one up at Fry's and can say it's awesome and a lot of fun but it is very difficult on some of the missions in story mode. You just have to be very lucky.

Mario Sunshine was alright but I don't know, it just didn't have that something.

Pikmin is quite fun so after Metroid, it's a good choice.

Since you recently picked up a Cube, go pick up and play Paper Mario 2. Definienlty worth it. One of the funnest games I have ever played.

I think some Circuit Cities still have Eternal Darkness for $10 so you mihgt want to check there.
