It was rather entertaining IMO. Not the greatest thing I ever saw but certainly not the worst.

I tried watching it but somehow I just kept changing the channel, it just felt so generic.

I have to say, I enjoyed RoD. I was surprised. At first I was like, I'm only gonna watch an hour, then go to sleep. Before I knew it, it was 2 AM and it was over. It was a nice surprise to actually like it.

My b/f was watching the World Series all night, and during the commercials he would flip to The Two Towers. I've been meaning to catch Adult Swim, but I never get around to it.

A friend of mine has the R.O.D. DVDs. They're pretty entertaining.

I saw it 2 years ago... it's nothing special.

I liked the art direction and character designs quite a lot, but the plot was pretty thin. Still, just as an action piece it was pretty decent.

That's the way I felt. I wasn't going to stay up and watch the whole thing, but for some reason I found it compelling to watch. Yomiko was a cute character. She was naive, yet strong when she had to be. I liked her special power too. That was something different if nothing else.

I agree that the art direction and action was very good. The story was a bit weird but the characters made up for it IMO.

I could have done without Good Nancy dying, though. I liked her.

For those ignorant bastards here, what is Read or Die? Is it anime or some other cartoon thing?

always good to see adult swim holding up the banner for anime programming

It was entertaining. Confusing, but boy did it look purty.

I wish someone would translate the manga so people can bridge the gap between the OVA and TVseries. They're both very cool in their own way though. Both are intelligently written and well directed, cool fight scenes and interesting characters.

I bought it about a year ago and really enjoyed it! It was short and fun. Gotta get around to watching the TV series...

I thought the OVA sucked hardcore, I haven't watched the TV series but I hear it is worse so no thanks.

i taped it, and watched it when nothing was on. it was good, beautiful animation, nice music, odd plot.
i would buy it on sale for 15 dollars or less, but not full price.

Not only the manga, which introduces the three Paper Sisters, but the novels that precede the OAV series with Yomiko and Nenene would make for a good read, also.

So they showed all three episodes last night, I assume? I'm happy to see the R.O.D franchise getting more exposure.
