Although imagine some lil kids confusion if they were out trick or treating and saw in someone's window the pumpkin being groped.

I wish I had a photo of this...
A few years back I got this REALLY bright handheld spotlight for photography right about Halloween time. Instead of using a candle, I stuck this in the pumpkin. It was gorgeous... beams of light streaming forth through the eyes and mouth, through the mist of the moisture cooking out of the pumpkin under the light's intense heat, and the natural fog of the evening air.
The second night, the lamp timpped forward, touched the glass to the inside of the pumpkin and exploded. The pumpkin immediately began to issue flame from all orifices, including the top, which had been cast askew by the blast of the bulb bursting.

It was just an above average carve, but the special effects were great.

Now I'm thinking about using one of those $20 fog machines in one... or pumping it's output into a plastic cauldron filed with thick goo and fake eyeballs.... bubbles sweling and bursting, just to issue smoke...
