anyone get gta:sa from walmart?

anyone grab theirs from a walmart?

im wondering cuase the closest eb to my college is 50 miles away...and while i have store credit on them, i would rather save myself the trip and just get it at walmart (the only retailer that has vid games)

so am i going to have to make the 100 mile round trip for gta (or just wait till friday when walmart might actually have the game), or am i going to get lucky and find it at walmart tommorow?

The only people offering it early, that I know of, where EB, Gamestop and other game only stores.

My local EB's began selling this at 6:00 tonight. I don't know when Wal-Mart will get it however.

Walmart is suppose to have it Thursday. Sometimes they put games out a day early. You can call them.

I was at my local Wal-Mart at midnight to pick up some stuff I needed and remembered GTA:SA was coming out so I went to check it out, but all the advertisements said it'd be out this Thursday. Maybe Wal-Mart is lagging, or maybe it's because I live in a po-dunk, backwater, redneck town.

yah, im in a po-dunk town too....walmart always lags in getting games...at least 2-4 days...so im not hopeful, but im giong to call them anyways

Good luck with Wal-Mart. I preordered mine when that Outpost.com deal was posted here, the $35 with free shipping one. I love that I got in on the deal for the cheapness of it, but it's going to be rough waiting for it to get here. I'm wondering if saving the $15 was worth the torture of waiting. My brother is planning on going out to BB, CC, Target, wherever until he finds a copy today.

yeah, walmart said maybe not till next week (they are always late) so i drove 80 miles round trip to the nearest eb...1.5 hours later im here with the game ;)

My local Super Walmart said that they would have it Thursday the 28th. They also said that I could call Wednesday because sometimes they get games a day earlier. I pre ordered a copy and the gift cards that they use when you pre order games has October 28th on it. They also had signs up with October 28th as the date for being available for pickup.

walmart get it on the 28th

i got mine from kmart...........they held onto it for me for a day too. i have the most organized kmart. all games are marked with correct pricing and clearances as well as stacked sideways in alphabetical order. they have ALOT of games.

I'm a support manager at a little dinky wal-mart in Marysville, Kansas. Today (Tuesday), we received 24 copies of GTA:SA at about 2pm & by 9pm there were a handful left.

I work RZOne at toys rus (we got 198 copies of GTA:SA in, 47 went to preorders, sold around 60-70 in 6 hours, and had 80+ left when I left work today around 6 pm
