Im very tempted to pick this one up at TRU, the game looks too interesting to me. Has anyone played/bought it yet? Tell me what you think...

Most of the reviews I've seen say it's marginal. I actually picked this up when I was at EB the other day but put it back down after reading the back. The story is Japanese insane. Maybe when it hits $20...

I have it and really enjoyed it. Its on the back burner for now with GTA:SA and SMT:N out, but its a really good action game.

And if you like lengthy, this is your game, 'cause I'm pretty sure they said there's a whole shit-load of bosses.

i believe there are 48 different bosses that all each took one organ or a limb from the main character...you have to go around and fight each boss to get that organ/limb back...the story goes like this
Blood Will Tell is a modern day action epic adapted from the classic manga by Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy). Like the original manga, the game follows the adventures of Hyakkimaru, a samurai haunted by a shocking secret who embarks on a quest to uncover his past and regain his humanity. As a newborn baby he was robbed of every limb, every organ and even the ability to cry. He replaced his missing parts with weapons and departed on a quest to destroy the fiends who robbed his organs, hoping to regain his body and his future. Throughout the game, Hyakkimaru's friend Dororo is there to help and guide players and fight alongside Hyakkimaru.

Sounds interesting. *resists temptation to get more TRU games*

not to mention that the main character is supposed to have swords as arms and a bazooka as a leg

If reviews matter to you here are the following scores that I could find:
1up: 6.0
Gamespot: 7.3
IGN: 6.9
Gamezone: 6.0
I don't care much about reviews, but they sometimes make me want to wait for price drops.

I reviewed it and have been playing it since then, too. It's a fun little action game. The story is great, and the RPG elements of finding new weapons and getting your body parts back is satisfying. It's nothing Earth-shattering, but if you think you'll enjoy it, I bet you will.

I heard 60 boss-like battles from the Gamespot review. I probably couldn't think of that many organs/limbs.

If they stole the dudes ability to cry then they probably stole other things that arent exactly obvious choices, like:
-sense of smell, cant sneak on an enemy if you;re rank
-sense of humor, to laugh in the face of danger
-ability to hold his liqour at party time
-the part of his brain that helps match shoes, because a good fashion sense makes the man.

I've been playing this, and have really enjoyed it. And yes, although there are 48 body parts to recover, there are actually more than 48 boss battles. It really is interesting and a lot of fun. But, as with most of you, I'm waiting until it's $19.99 before I buy it!
