Damn! I didn't actually see any highlights but it looks like a Seahwaks loss was pretty close to a reality. That would have been sweet!! Oh well, it's down to 6 now with one hanging in the balance for tomorrow (although I doubt Miami will pull another one on the Jets this week).

On to Week 9!

Actually the game wasn't as close as it might seem. Carolina scored with about 1:30 left to make it somewhat close, but they would have needed to get the onside kick and still score the touchdown.

Well, barring a major 4th quarter collapse it looks like it's safe for me to start looking ahead to next week.
Jets are up 31-7 and I don't think the high-octane Dolphin offense will score 31 points over the next 3 weeks combined.
Maybe they can spice this game up by doing another interview with Joe Namath!

Baltimore over Dallas could be sketchy... Parcells won't let them lose every game and Baltimore nearly blew it against the Jets last week... but it IS in Baltimore... and I have no idea what teams you can still pick. Indy over Chicago is even questionable with the way the Bears are playing right now, although I'd go with the Colts. Hmm this does look like a tough week to pick, this is why I was hoping to still be in and have saved Philadelphia.

Dallas fucking sucks! And I'm a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan. Our D is horrid, our recievers besides Keyshawn sucks, our RB is horrible. Only bright spot is Witten. I'd bet against Dallas.

This could be a wierd weekend because only two winning teams play each other. That's Atlanta vs New York. Other than that every game is a winner vs. a loser. That could mean either a lot of upsets or a week where the favorites are the clear winners.

Losing Picks
RichD1 - New York Giants \:D/

Hmmmmm... he hasn't replied since he has lost.

I'm sorry, how far did you make it?

I made a mistake in judgement and held out a week too long for the easy choices instead of just taking philly or ne or ind that week. It cost me the whole thing, what can I say. I lasted until week 8, 1 week before you went out. You just sounded like a real dick sometimes trashing others picks. You, who I guess knows everything about football picks only lasted 1 week longer than me. Something's wrong...

If they make the playoffs and get some of their players back, they will be really dangerous. I think they would be the only team able to give the Eagles a run for the money in the NFC playoffs

Whambamm
11-29-2004, 11:50 PM
The whole reason I'm choosing the Lions over Arizona is because, they are starting a quarterback who has never taken a snap before(Navarre), they are starting an undrafted rookie at running back(Crooms), and then there's the fact that there center is a rookie and so is Fitzgerald.

Call me crazy but the Packers might end up in the Superbowl. Just like last year, I'd love to see it for some reason. I kind of want to see Favre go out with a superbowl ring, although knowing him he won't retire until they have to pick his lifeless corpse off the field. It runs in cycles. A Decade ago the AFC was the NFC's bitch. Then again, the NFC East used to own everyboody. It's just that recently a lot of NFC teams have new ownership or they're basically incompetent.

Watch Green Bay and Buffalo lose. The Packers are hot, but they're pretty much a lock for the play-offs at 8-5 with 3 games to go. The Jaguars on the other hand need a win to stay in the AFC play-off hunt. Then you've got Cincy, who's been playing well and is 6-7, but Buffalo is playing even better right now and is a hot 7-6. I have a feeling the Bengals will win the game though, and end Buffalo's crazy win streak.

I just did the same thing.

An hour after Terrel hurt himself I was listening to the game on radio and doing sprints. third sprint, my cleats were muddy and my ankle turned inside.

I've got a cold compress on it now and I took two ibuprofen. I have full range of motion and no pinpoint pain so it's probably not broken. I't's a little swollen but not discolored and i can put my full weight on it.

It's wait and see now. Depending on how it looks tonight and how it fares tommorrow I'll have to check in with the doctor.

Admiral Ackbar
12-19-2004, 05:13 PM
Well, I sprained this ankle twelve years ago. But this is on the opposit side. On that one my ankle went out. On this one it went in.

Whenever I go running I wear cleats with high tops for extra ankle support. I think they helped this from being as serious. It's been two hours, and I'll be lying if I said the swelling was going down. But it's already feeling better and it's not getting worse. I'm sure I didn't break anything.

I'm sure I'll really feel it in the morning tomorrow. We''ll see then. But hopefully by Christmas I'll be walking normally and i9n another week I can start doing some light bicycling.

Well the horse was one for two it looks like, I never pick against the Jaguars, that's been my favorite non-Detroit team since they were conceived 10 years ago.

By the by, that Lions' game sure sucked at the end, I had this terrible feeling they'd miss the kick, I know Hanson is automatic, but I just had a feeling he wasn't going to make it, and sure enough he didn't... hell he didn't even get to kick the ball. Oddly enough the Lions are still in the play-off hunt, but a win today would've really improved their odds. Oh, and how about those Cardinals, I bet they're regretting those two losses to the 49ers, the 49ers only two wins of the season.
