I just got an email from Nintendo with a link to a Survey about Donkey Konga. One of the final questions was "would you be intrerested in new versions of Donkey KOnga with new songs on them, released in the next 3 to 6 months." I definitly said yes. Hopefully this means they will release a new volume here, the original has about 7 great songs... and the rest arent worthn anything.

That would be cool, but hopefully, they won't be expensive if they do make some.

Agreed.

In fact, that's the first thing I thought they day I brought it home. "This is cool, but they should release expansion discs with more songs."

Hopefully this will actually happen (wasn't there one in Japan already?) and hopefully they will be priced well. 19.99 sound about right since they wouldn't have to come with the bongos.

it depends on pricing to me, it is a fun game, but very short lived

Yes, I'd buy expansions.

Planning on importing the Japanese version.

Expansions would be pretty sweet, but I bet the MSRP would be a little too high for some people. Im sure its not cheap to get the rights to music.

If you really want expansions, let Nintendo know. Don't just sit there.

They should (somehow) make it so you have to have the original DKonga to play the expansions, which should all be priced at 19.99 as the MSRP. Maybe 15-20 new songs for the expansion with a few mini games.

Yeah, and I wish they had real songs, not knock off's. I mean, I drummed away to the "That's the Impression That I Get" song, but it didn't feel right not being the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. I feel sometimes like I'm drumming to one of those kid's karaoke CD's you see on daytime commercials. It's a fun game though... I do recommend it

I thought the covers of the original songs were done very well.

It can't cost THAT much to get rights to songs. That stupid fucking Kidz Bop CD's that come out every other week have 15 songs on them at least, and they're only $14-15.

the cover bands do a really nice job. i'm in for a few more expansion paks. price'em at 19.99, and i'll buy'em all at BB. (w/ggc of course)

c'mon Nintendo, keep em coming.....

I would buy expansions if they were HUGE expansions that added alot to the game. Just a few songs priced at $20 or more won't be enough for me to get it.

I got the same email. The survey is open to anyone though, so if you want Nintendo to hear your voice on getting a new DK disc, take the survey:

If they do get released I hope they're only $10-$15.

Even though I don't have the game yet, I filled out the survey and I supported the idea of expansion discs. I've heard plenty of good things about the game, but I didn't get it yet because it's still $50. How is the replay value?

Maybe they'll give 'em out free if you have Nintendo PINs...

The replay value in this game is in the multiplayer. I went through the single player game in a couple of weeks, but if you get a second(or 3rd, or 4th) set of bongos and start jamming with friends, its a blast.

Alright, thanks. I'm thinking about getting it now...

Wow, well I'm going to personally write a letter in support of releasing expansions. If they do then I will get this game, up to this point I really only wanted to to pla Jungle beat, but with expansions...
