I checked the satellite view on weather underground and it seems most of the viewing area is under cover. Weak, I say.

edit: just imagine if Boston wins the series tonight. An eclipse and that on the same night are surely a portent of doom.

So if I live in California I can see the eclipse only when the moon first comes out?

I'm not exactly sure how that works. This probably explains it: http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/LEmono/TLE2004Oct28/image/TLE2004Oct-PDT.GIF

It's a 3 hour deal. How long is your commute?

I wonder if there are any 5 hours parties for this event, could be a good excuse to get drunk in a park or field.

Yeah, you should be covered in Houston. It starts at 8:14, I think.

Damn, I'm probably going to miss this, it's really cloudy now, and I don't think it's going to change anytime in the near future. Guess I'll have to see it on the news or something.

I went out and looked at it, about 3rd of the way covered. I'll keep checking up on it til SP is on.
