The bards tale, saw the reviews, man dissapointed

I was looking forward to some nice hack n slash, but saw this quote from IGN about the shallow battle system.

Beyond that...it's much, MUCH better to rent the game or borrow it from a friend. Experiencing it is the best way to make your decision...

yeah i almost listened to them on monster hunter and i must say its fricken awsome. The game sites fall into the hype rating because they create the hype.

I had high hopes for this one because of the humor, but of course I'm waiting for it to drop in price. Also, once more reviews come out, I'll make up my mind as to whether or not I should get it.

The normal cheap way just isn't cutting it anymore, try and improvise.

BTW: most reviews agree: it's a single player only version of BG:DA only with tons of humor.

exactly, and i loved the original BG better than BG2....but i just cant spend 50 bucks on it...im a poor college student...i have bills and stuff...like beer...to pay for...hahaha :)

Yay!

Did Sudeki ever end up being any good? I got it through hastings but never played it.. I had to dump it for $30 before it dropped. If you say it's pretty good, i'll pick it up for Christmas or something. I loved Fable.. actually paid for that one :P

No the thought Sudeki wasn't that good, the story is mediocre and the gameplay gets old fast.

And while Fable was fun it was way to short with not enough side quests, I would have prefered that I had just rented it and done the trade in 4 deal on Star Ocean 3 instead, boy did I miss a beat there.
