Some things I learned about trading on here:

* Keep a list of screen names, email address and physical addresses of people you've traded with, so you know if you're doing a second trade with someone or not.
* Keep a list of all in-processed trades until both sides of the transaction are done, and feedback is posted on both sides.
* Keep all PM's handy for all communications until the trade is done.

Done this from moment 1 and I've had 20+ trades/sales go without a hitch, with both parties completely happy.

And yes, being the true CAG geek, I have the list of all the trade partners on my Palm. :D

You should tie a ribbon around your finger so that you can remember why you needed to know his name. Don't you save your PM's. I always save at least one from each transaction I do.

I started saving all my trade-centric PMs into text files by name of user. That way I have a record if someone wants to dispute something.

Sitting here at work gives me a lot of free time, so it's a good practice.

That way I save their addresses too.

I know where a good potion of you sleep at night.

I always throw the reciepts away, but I write the screen names on the DC slips and keep those.

uh, what about going throught your post history? i'm sure there is a thread where you both posted in...right? i mean you don't have to go through all 600+ posts, just try to remember when you sent the game off and go a few days back further. also PM's are your friend (if you don't delete them)
