So I've got $20 of Amazon Credit I have to spend by the end of this month.

I only have a Wii and DS.

Ideally I'd like to spin this credit into more credit - but that probably means pre-ordering a future release and hoping Amazon adds future video game credits.

I'm vaguely interested in Metroid: Other M but not sure I want to pre-order it just to get $20 credit since I'd have to front the other $30 for a game I wouldn't play for ages due to my backlog.

Some other games I don't own that I'm interested in and would likely play before Metroid: Other M:

A Boy and His Blob
Donkey Kong Country Returns (possible future credit?)
Endless Ocean: Blue World
Goldeneye 007 (possible future credit?)
Guitar Hero Metallica
Jambo! Safari Animal Rescue
Jurassic: The Hunted
Kirby's Epic Yarn (possible future credit?)
NBA Jam (possible future credit?)
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Rabbids Go Home
Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time (possible future credit?)
Real Heroes: Firefighter
Red Steel 2
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars

Thoughts?

From your list I would choose Endless Ocean: Blue World, its a great game and has hours of playability.

I picked up Metroid Other M, to roll my Super Mario Galaxy 2 credit over. I hope they have credits with Donkey Kong Returns and Kirby's Epic Yarn as well.

I'm in the same situation, I have a credit to spend, too, and I own a Wii and a DS. I'm leaning towards getting Real Heroes: Firefighter, maybe Guitar Hero: Metallica if it drops in price more, Wii Fit Plus, or a DS game. Using credits to get another game with credits is nice but I have enough of a backlog built up as it is and the buying games, getting credits cycle isn't helping that.

I'd agree that Endless Ocean is a good purchase, especially if you're looking for something a little more laid back.

Hurray and thank you for thinking of my Real Heroes: Firefighter game!

If you were planning on getting Zelda Skyward Sword you could put it towards that and forget about it.
I had about 30 total amazon credit to use by end of this month. I ended up putting it towards Zelda already, since I already had Metroid: Other M pre-ordered and I have everything else I want.

Of the games above I would think that Kirby might be the next game to get a pre-order bonus (thinking about NSMBW) and DK returns a possible 2nd. But if memory serves Retro games, example being Metroid Prime 3 or the Trilogy, didn't get any credits.

Since we can't predict anything for sure, if you must re-roll the credit I would go with Metroid by the end of the month.

If you don't mind some shorter titles, I'd recommend looking at the WiiWare library and investing in a points card to grab something off there. The Bit.Trip games are quite fun along with a couple of other select titles.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up going with Metroid: Other M to roll the credit. I'm sure I could ditch the game and make back the $30 (possibly more) it cost me if I really don't want it.
