I bought a sealed copy of Socom II from toys r us which been in the store room for all most a year one of my fellow employees's said. The copy was sealed and everything but had no outer artwork it was just a black box, and notice everything is originally wrapped, and still has the top seal that says socom II(non GH). I am wondering have you ever encounter a factory sealed game like this, and is it worth to throw on ebay as collectors item? I got it from toys r us btw

SO why would anyone want a game with no cover. Its not a mistake that anyone would want to collect.

okay example, lets say when FInal fantasy 7 came out it was spelled correctly then just only 5 out of the whole world was then spelled wrong, would people not pay good money for it?

How did they scan the game for you to purchase? People can shrink wrap games after they have been opened. I have seen it before. I am not saying this is what happened here just that it can happen.

yeah but see your logic has a problem. Most of the games that sell for a lot that are old are PRGs, this is not.

Never seen anything like that. I've heard of discs not being in the case, but how do they not get a cover in there? Odd. Pics.

I'd ebay it, as after it is open it definitely becomes worth less than your normal game because it has no cover, and you really have no proof that it came that way. EBAY!!!

I work for a Sony warehouse and we see about 10 of these for every 1000 games. We just have to send them back because there not suppose to be sent out to the stores. I guess they might be rare, but I wouldn't want it.

I have gotten disc with no cd inside and the store manager just said "sure you did" what should I have done?

I dunno who would pay more than the original game for it. It's not a collection worthy type of error.

A lot of people have the Final Fantasy VII cases with the messed up print on the back, where the letter is misplaced, I doubt it's worth anything... I've got one also.

I had this happen once, and I check all purchases in store now....
Back in the Sega Saturn days this happened, and the EB employee told me to call sega and I did and they said they have a 18 point expection and that I was lying....you will never get a game....Ever, just give up. I was 14 and had no life and called everywhere....I cant imagine wasting my time to do shit like that again.

Surprisingly, people bid on a lot of things on ebay. Look at it this way, at least you didn't get a GH cover. :D

I don't see how something being left out of the game would make it worth more to anyone. You can try Ebay'ing it I suppose, but I wouldn't expect much.
And when I bought my Maximo from Wal-Mart a few years back there was no disk in the case. I took it right back in the store - they looked funny about it but swapped it out. I actually would have loved for them to have accused me of stealing it - that would have went over really well. :P
