They're not knockoffs, they're the rebranded actual products. In any case the deal is dead.

sorry dude, they are knockoffs. i've used them, they feel extremely light and hollow.
Must be you, then. A rebranded item is not a knock-off. Knock-off = fake. These are not fake, they are just *gasp* rebranded!

You guys can believe what you want, but as a Logitech rep, I can say with all certainty that these are just imitations.
Any proof of that?

I think Lone is still waiting for that proof, bud...
proof of WHAT? hhm, let's see, where is his proof that they ARE a rebrand? Honestly, these are made in-house by DELL. compare them to the items you think are a rebrand. they are a different design that is slightly similar to the logitech products, but dissimilar enough to get away with it. Logitech doesn't do rebrands. the rare exception is a couple things like the warcraft gear, but that's just custom artwork.

proof of WHAT?
I guess either a) proof they are cheap imitations, or b) proof you're a Logitech rep lol.
Damn! Tried to delete my old post to just let this argument die, but Nukkus was too fast!

Well, from the readings on the internet, it seems common knowledge that the mouse is a Logitech G9x rebranded. Common knowledge doesn't need to be proved. Now, if you could prove to me that this is NOT a G9x rebrand, then I shall kiss the ground with which you walk on and beg forgiveness a thousand times over. Until then, I'm more inclined to believe what dozens of people say about the rebrand than what one person says about the rebrand.
So in short, prove its NOT a rebrand, and we'll have made some progress.

EXACTLY! Just because people on the net say they may be a rebrand doesn't mean they are. And I do not have to prove I work for logitech. I merely offered advise and had it thrown back in my face. Discussion is over.

It seems relatively well-known that the internal machinations of the mouse are identical to the G9x. Obviously this information must be taken with a grain of salt, but I've seen more claims that it IS a rebrand than it isn't. Again, if proof can be made that it isn't a rebrand, then there wouldn't be an argument. The only information we have that it isn't a rebrand is Nukkus' 'expertise', which in my mind, ain't worth shit.

Just because Logitech makes it (if they even do) and slap on an Alienware brand doesn't mean it's crap.
Sure the Logitech might have a few "extras" but its the same idea as Honda and Acura. Take Accord and TSX. Basically the same car, but the TSX has a few extra "goodies" and premium price.
In any case, it's a good deal. If you want the real deal Logitech, then you'll have to pay the extra premium.

flaming much? what the bonk do you want me to do to prove i work for logitech? give you my contact info so you can harass the heck out of me on my work email? jeez kid, someone offers you advice and you just crap all over it, and then start flaming them for it. grow up. also, if it WAS a rebrand, dell would be required to say so on the product page/packaging/etc. it's a registered trademark of logitech, not to mention the design is patented. just because it looks imilar inside and out doesn't make it the real thing. If it doesn't have a logitech copyright on it, it's not from logitech. common sense there bud. I suggest this thread be closed now, sale's over. unless this dude needs it to flame me more.

If I could be so bold as to try to calm things down:
No one knows 100% for sure what exactly these are in terms of Logitech or Dell made, but 2 things stand:
1. People like the Tactx produect, generally, and those that don't like the mouse find it too small, just like the G9x.
2. The deal is dead, so we can let it lie until they go on sale again.
