Wow.
I assume this is posted in an subtle attempt at correcting 'forumspeak'. For much like SNL, PA hasn't been funny in about two years, and I don't subscribe to the Andrew Dice Clay theory of comedy, where more irrelevant curses = more "laughs".

I already posted this in the OTT last night Cheapy, but since it's you we'll let it slide. Things tend to get buried in there anyway.

You know, everybody says that about SNL. Yet at the same time, they long for the "classic" days of 5-10 years ago. Of course, 5-10 years ago, SNL hadn't been funny for two years... Lather, rinse, repeat.

Not a big fan of Mr. Period, but the bit with Cap at the end made me laugh.

For me, the 'Good Old Days' of SNL are Belushi, Newman, Morris, Aykroyd, etc. So edit my line to say twenty-two years ago. If they rerun those, I'll watch them. Give me the Bees or Samurai Chef or the Decabet over those idiotic cheerleaders or pillpopping bus drivers any day.

I think they've only been showing last season lately.

As much as I like and respect PA I'm sorry but I'm going to keep using $ when I spell Micro$oft.

It just fits so well.

Penny Arcade has been hella funny for the 6 years that they've been around. They adapt well, like South Park, to the ever changing world.

No Coke! Pepsi!
Now, *those* are punchlines : )
Nick at Nite used to play old SNL in half-hour increments. Enjoyed that.

NO fries !! Chips Chips

I think that newer 90's and beyond SNL is like 60% funny. There are a few gems if your willing to put up with some of the crap.

Not bad, I'm glad they have a new comic with Mr. Period. The original one was my favorite PA comic

I love the frontpage on Penny-arcade. It's like good cop bad cop. The one guy will just vomit out unintelligible reactions for two to three pages on some obscure or beta PC game you've never played, and then the other guy immediatley and randomly chimes in advertising some crappy PA merchendise, or offering up a wallpaper that the people "demanded"

Well Belushi is dead, so he's out of the picture. And Dan Akroyd hasn't been funny in well over 13 years.

Yet strangely they're in enough "demand" to do this for a living....interesting.

Mr. Period is such a little grammar Nazi.

Mr. Period = SneakyPenguin.

The three Mr. Period comics are three of the best Penny Arcade strips. It's a shame that more people don't listen to the advice that our little round buddy gives...
