Project Gotham Racing 2 and Rainbow 6 3 is what online gaming is all about.

My friend keeps telling me that Magic Battlegrounds is one of the top played games on XBL, but personally I can't vouch for it. I'm kind of partial to RTCW myself.

Can't wait for Pandora Tomorrow, the online multiplayer on that looks hot.

Rainbow Six 3! Although I think all of them besides Top Spin are good Live games.

Rainbow Six 3 also has 3 free multiplayer levels. It's nice they keep adding to an already great game.

PGR2=awesome; I also still have a soft spot for MechAssault and can't wait for MA2 to hit hopefully by the holidays. Early screenshots show that it will kick A%$.

perhaps i should look into this xbox live

then again, maybe not.

i'm a little behind the times, i prefer to play games with human players that i can see. or at least with other players close enough to hear me taunting them

Ahhh, but if you have a headset, they CAN hear you taunt them. LIVE is great if you live far from your family, you can play together from afar....

I haven't played PGR2 online yet... maybe I should. I haven't played R6 in like a few weeks either, too many people whipping molotov cocktails around (aka action replay cheating)

i picked up rs3 for xbox and i was really let down on how choppy the netcode is, its mainly the xbox live network causing problems because they need some true dedicated servers that arent on xboxes, the game is nothing when compared to the pc version of ravenshield

Anyone else experience this sort of choppy gameplay online?????

Generally the gameplay is fine for me. Some big games get a bit laggy, but it's no different than playing on a PC for me.

As far as the cheating goes, at least when I last checked (3 or 4 weeks ago), it was possible to cheat in R6 using Action Replay and gain access to weapons you weren't supposed to be able to use. The only one I knew of particularly was the molotov cocktails, and those tend to give you away instantly... a flaming comet released from your hand will do that.

PGR 2 and Crimson Skies are excellent. I like PGR 2 better since the live part gives you a lot of incentive to play single player as well. Top Spin was good, but doesn't nearly have enough depth.
